As a Wolves fan Ill just say its hilarious how many people call Gobert trash while bigging up Ant. The best element of the Wolvesthe last two years has been their defense and Rudy is the anchor, voice, tone setter and leader on that end. They dont make the playoffs 2 years ago without him, they dont beat Denver last year without him. The coaches who spend the time game planning are the ones making him DPOY but people who only see Rudy in game highlights call him trash. Dude is a legitimately great defender and a useful offensive player but bad with the ball in his hands. He’s anchored numerous top 5 defenses even with trash defensive teammates. Even this year the Wolves were by far the best D in the league despite starting a 38 yr old 6ft pg, KAT who has been a notoriously mediocre defender and then two wings who, while wildly talented, were 22 and 23 years old. Anyone who can see all that and then call the man trash is just being willfully ignorant. Rudy ain't perfect but I've watched him for 82 games and he's absolutely worthy of DPOY and the accolades he's received.
