Yeah I stopped watching at that point. Too many unintelligent points being made. The whole "house nikka" shyt being all lightskin slaves or that the being raped daily was somehow better than working the land notion is just fukking stupid. They were having a discussion in front of millions that was packed with misinformation or false narratives. Thats why you dont have nikkas like that talking about black issues to the white population of the world.

Literally every nikka in the league celebrates in one way or another when they hit a 3. Especially when they get hot and hit multiple in a row, which Steph is prone to do.
A lot of the hate Steph gets definitely has to do with him being light skin. Can't count on my hands how many times we talk ball at a function and Steph's name is always prefaced with something about his color like "that waffle colored" or "light skin ass" "soft, high yellow ass" nikka.
Him being light skin, him beating Bron, and him being on a team that their team couldn't beat is 1-3 of the reasons nikkas have a problem with Steph. Any combination of at least 2 of those and that makes up the reason for the salt.

There is some scarring in the community when jokes over skin tone are launched. It might seem soft but children and women are really impacted by jokes like that. Same with weight, looks, teeth, smarts. They see light women propped up all the time for their "fair" skin. Although it's not nearly as bad for dark skin sisters as it was in the past, i think a lot of those talking points are passed down.

Most of the time the people I'm around says it as a joke, they not really serious. Every lightskinned person I grew up with got lightskinned jokes it's not that serious. shyt me being darkskined I got jokes, and I joked right back nobody was being serious. Every great player gets hate, if you think that's hate do you not remember kobe after Colorado and lebron after the decision that level of hate is something curry will never feel and thankfully so. Also the players in the league see the bias the media has while covering curry which rubbers them the wrong way. I ask you this if lebron and kd were Steph's color do you honestly think the get the level of hate they have gotten during there careers?

See if you're light or even not dark. you will catch the hate if you also grew up privileged. which steph did and is. he's both. that combo is too much for people because of that skin color issue and the "why he getting all that love" or "why he aint getting half the hate..."
that is where it comes from. They use to hate on kobe because even though kobe was from philly. he grew up some what privileged due to his pops being a nba player and him growing up in Italy(he was different.) this is another reason why they loved shaq over him. shaq was the dark skinned dude that grew up with a wack daddy and his step dad stepped up. the step dad part aint always there but the wack daddy is there for most black men. lets keep it a buck.
There's a reason they loved jordan. even though he had two parents. But he was very dark. So he's one of us so to speak is the thinking. even if its unconscious thinking going on.
