Seriously, why do you lift? Why do you work out?

A progression for me:

--Never lifted throughout my teens and 20's. Didn't give a shyt about muscle, I liked playing sports and games not lifting weights

--Worked a job with a constantly shifting schedule which made me lazy outside of work. Spent years slowly getting skinny fat

--Was in denial of skinny-fatness until I had a blood test done at 27 and my cholesterol levels were way too high and my BMI was :flabbynsick: despite still thinking I wasn't that out of shape

--Went back to the gym after years off, and tried to do the type of workout I would do during high school sports. Almost vomited after 10 minutes and couldn't walk down the gym stairs to get to the locker room. Knew once and for all I was :flabbynsick:

--Still didn't care about lifting, just wanted to lose fat and improve my blood work. Don't want to become a broken down old man with a ton of health problems

--Once I got down to a healthy weight, everyone started calling me too skinny. Came to the realization that weights were needed and I needed 10-15 pounds of lean muscle to get to my true goal


So now I am 30 and in the best shape of my life, slowly gaining muscle, trying to keep fat levels low and blood work on point. I also want to look good naked, but I'm married so it is just more about boosting my wife's confidence rather than my own.

for hos obviously, nikkas talk all this "i wanna be healthy and lift x amount of lbs" BULL-shyt, you wanna look good in a v-neck or a wifebeat and have hos on your dikk with minimal game needed
All of this because as much as you want good health you know the chicks going to geek off that nice body. It could also give you an advantage when you and another dude are close in a chicks mind if dude Larry status or close which happens a lot after dudes stop the playing with their boys phase in life lol.

Always was strong, but i was skinny. I hated having strength but looking puny. Plus I find working out fun. Working in a office can make you flabby fast. Im trying to avoid that.

Well if that is the case it was for the better.

You should take up boxing or BJJ or any type of martial art as a side hobby.

Being big will not stop you from getting yolked up. If he has any type of fighting experience no matter how brolic you are he will wrinkle your clothes again.

You need to know how to handle yourself especially with this new found weight. Learn some type of combat technique cause having all the strength/size in the world means jack if you don't know how to use it.

Ive always been an active dude, ran track, played football/basketball in high school. But i never really hit the weights hard. Decided i would get right for the summer 2 years ago and havent looked back.

Now i work out because its a better stress reliver than smoking weed, and healthier too

Nah man, it's not gonna happen. The only reason he even thought of doing it was because he was with his boys and I was on my dolo and he had the size advantage.

Just tryna give you some advice breh. People who actually fight aren't intimidated by muscles, people who fight know most brolic dudes cannot fight.

It would be embarrassing if you actually do get in a physical conflict and you're getting worked by someone smaller:manny:

I work out because two reasons. I want to look great naked. I remember I was on this date with this girl it was the first date and she said she wanted a strong black man and I'm pretty sure because I was not in shape she didn't become mine. This happened almost two years ago and it still plagues my mind. So I'm getting super strong with godlike aesthetics so no female will ever be able to deny that I'm a strong black man.

Pretty much the same reason. Had a girl I loved and had feelings for me flat out tell me she liked me, and would be with me if I wasn't Larry Holmes Status. It really fukked me up and had me on some "All women are superficial whores" shyt. So me looking better and getting hoes will show her. I wanna look good just so I can go back to her and be like "This is what you could've had you bytch". I know that's a really unhealthy reason but it works for me.

I used to be fat for a long time. I start lifting and running when I play football back in HS. When I graduated from high school, I kept lifting but my diet and cardio was :flabbynsick: throughout college and a little bit after I graduated. Once I got hired full time at my current job and started to huff and puff going up the steps, I knew that my old lifestyle had to stop. I start eating better and doing more cardio. I lost about 50 pounds in six months and keep it off for about 7 years. I still lift and run for about three times a week. I do my cardio either on the treadmill or stair master for about 50 minutes and lift for about a hour. I do not want to be that fat guy with low self esteem again and working out keep my spirits up and gives me my swagger. :myman:













































Plus I love it when women feel up on my arms. :banderas::steviej:
