Of the top 10 high schools what percent are private

Private industry got a mega head start on colleges and college rankings are heavily dependent on pedigree state schools just can't match.

Avg public college is just as good as the avg private college, arguing one is better than another is just speaking to your own biases.

I'd never actually argue as to which was better, I was just gonna google and see how the experts ranked them, but ill take your word for it that its an unfair comparison.

Most side by side comparisons of public and private k-12 ignore numerous performance measures such as graduation rates, college matriculation, future income, parental satisfaction etc. that give a decided advantage to private schools, even after controlling for student characteristics. They narrowly define performance as math scores on two national tests, ignoring the reading data that also show higher private-school performance.
The system is setup(by the state) to support the state in all it does. :shaq2:

Even school choice programs are actively campaigned against despite amazing results, which TWISM has flooded this board with.
When are we gonna admit state provision isnt the answer to education.

Please refrain from using this fraud as a support for any argument.

That said, I am not saying it couldn't do some good for some. It could relieve some pressure for those at the very bottom. But ultimately the weight will be carried by the higher class and professionals and the super wealthy will come out unscathed.

Wait...what's your problem with Krugman?

yikes. :patrice:

Why do they have to be called fatherless nikkas?

And why don't you have a real opinion?

Do you have an opinion on America's wealth gaps?

:sas1:Some black women are golddiggers..... even white women and others. White guys i know don't really care. Some black guys don't really care. But that doesn't take away from the fact that some women chose money over happiness..... or chose money and stability or natural desire. Very few women get a full package ( that isn't gonna cheat on them on da low. )
NTM, many women, including black women.........don't even deserve a great man. What do you bring to the table besides p*ssy? There is an overabundance of sexy women and great p*ssy on our planet. There are nice women and submissive women..... There are business women who are even submissive with flat stomachs-- I have one now.. shes basically perfect (imo) but honestly, I'd smash a hoodrat if i was on vacation somewhere..... There are very few women up to the standard of what you call a man who "handles his business".
..... So for every sorry Man - I'll show you the Mother who made him that way..........and I'll show you a sorry woman who is his equal. And the other ones.... who might not be sorry hoes.... They use language like " fatherless nijas" and generalize black men as "broken and downtrodden" - they don't understand social economics or history so We shouldn't fukk with those types of bytches anyway:usure:

But all that's irrelevant. :sas2:

She is caught up in that Chemist bullshyt. When the economy becomes worse, she will feel it the worst way when job automation comes. Besides as the income gap in America widens, more people are turning against higher education because it is soaring beyond inflation.

Dead7, you seems to be a pretty good poster on other topics but I don't understand your logic when it come to economics. Did Peter Schiff kidnap you and drill your head with libertarian talking points?

A number of times in this thread you have stated that regulations "effect the markets ability to produce the best outcome", and "regulations are barriers that impact the end product". Do you think that America has problems because of too MUCH regulation? If so, that's just pure insanity, and the opposite of reality. The greedy rats on Wall Street nearly collapsed the entire world economy because there wasn't adequate regulation.

Off topic but I think it's relevant to your economic beliefs, do you accept the fact of evolution?

I believe there is a lot of unnecessary regulation in this country, and that the majority of it is an attempt at correcting a problem created by other regulations.

To use your example, I would argue that it was regulations that put greedy cats in a place where they needed more regulation.
Basically by that I mean regulations have distorted competition(reduced it) and allowed companies to grow large enough that they now require further regulation.

As for the near collapse, it was caused by a number of factors, greed being one.

edit: yes I believe in evolution.

What exactly do you disagree with? I thought it was pretty understood that barriers stifle competition... :ld:
I quoted exactly what I found to be a load of bullshyt. You display complete incompetence when discussing Wall Street regulation.

Who said anything about wall street? :ld:
I was speaking generally, and I clearly stated some of the regulations were good...

If you dont understand how regulations distort competition, and end up protecting fat cats, just ask me to explain... :ld:

so when we tax the rich more to make everyone more equal how exactly does that help lower and middle income? because you can be damn sure those tax revenues aren't going to any meaningful program.

Are you implying that 'defense spending' isn't a meaningful program?
