Sen. Tom Coburn, Oklahoma Republican, said he doesn’t believe in a national minimum wage, and if Democrats wanted to prove a point with their Wednesday vote on the issue, they might as well have put the threshold at $100 per hour.

Mr. Coburn said arguments from Democrats that Republicans turned their back on hardworking Americans by filibustering a bill to raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour were “malarkey.”

The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
what is his plan? He seemed to not have shown out any alternatives to immediately get american workers the money they need to support themselves.
This strategy is the root of the GOP's platform

They don't do anything... they just complain about what the Democrats do

Uncertain grounds
although i feel like im more of a 'republican' than a 'democrat'..

i just cannot fukkin side with this party in the slightest degree :snoop:

Agree. Sad state of affairs..and things ain't gonna improve until the Neo-Cons and their sphere of influence leave the scene completely..Bushes/Rove/Cheney are out of the spotlight but they still exert a lot of force in GOP actions/platforms/rhetoric.

shyt if minimum wage was $20/hr then no one would go to college

But I'm pretty sure everything would be expensive
The cost of living would also increase. As someone pointed out minimum and livable wage are different. That is more of a livable that minimum wage. We also can't let the lazy amongst us joy ride thru life with no effort. People need incentives to work hard.
