But is the game better??:lupe:

I like "Bloodborne" a lot more because I'm a horror fanatic. "Sekiro" is a good game but it's very run-of-the-mill samurai/ninja fare as far as the story goes.

Also like I said earlier "Sekrio" seems a lot smaller. Maybe they're actually the same size though, I'm only like 5-6 mini-bosses into the game. But the first area in "Bloodborne" seems bigger to me than the first 2-3 areas in "Sekiro" so far.

i beat the guardian apes 2nd phase by running around and just baiting his diving sword attack and slowly chipping away at his health.

it wasn't the most honorable way to beat a boss but a win is a win :dame:

i beat snake eyes in the toxic pool by the same way. just baiting and slowly chipping away health. Easier than learning all the deflects and shyt :yeshrug:

also, don't think i've even used the tools or skills at all.

Really feel like I’m learning this shyt better than I ever learned a From game :wow: I might actually beat this one.

Seven Spears only took me 3 tries to become easy work

Honestly for me I think the difference, and the reason I like it, is the less defensive style, and the closed off nature of the game. I could never figure out which style suited me in the Soulsborne games, and I would always feel like I was starting out wrong. This one basically has everyone at the same class, and you just gotta figure the shyt out

Thats part of why this game isnt as good to me. Theres no customization really, just skill trees.

Theres like 20 different ways to play a souls game and in this one theres only like 3.

I prefer Bloodborne due to the setting, music and more character customisation. Sekiro's combat is a lot tougher and more rewarding once you adjust to it.
Sekiro is excellent though and probably on target to be my second favourite From Software game and a top 5 game of this generation IMO (I've not finished it yet, Genichiro was the last boss I defeated).

I have to retire Sekiro game until June as I won't have time for games until then, so I'll start again from the beginning.

im going to hold off on Sekiro for awhile since I’m just getting into Bloodborne. Going to invest in the collectors edition game guide and enjoy my time being late to the party

Just beat Genichiro, went straight ham on him for the last phase, pure aggression. Didn't even have to resurrect. Onwards.

This game brings back the old God of war vibes. The shinobi animations are extreme savage.

Just killed the apes and damn that was exciting

I don't disagree but that's the cost of creating a more coherent story. In other From games you create your character and pretty much do whatever you want.

In this game you are a set character and he's a shinobi. He's not a knight, or a tank, or a magic user. Letting you change up how he operates wouldn't make sense.

The Owl.... :picard:

Took about an hour and a half, damn near threw my controller out the window. Absolutely brutal fight. Doable if you focus on deflecting and rhythm. Getting him in a corner and slashing for a few extra hits helps. Problem is: one mistake, and you're donezo. Hardest shyt I've done in a while :wow:
