If You Could Only Choose Between This Game And Bloodborne Which One Would You Choose And Why?

I'm still early in this game (on the 4th mini-boss) but so far "Bloodborne" seems a lot more open in terms of exploration. The first area in "Bloodborne" seems bigger than the 2-3 areas in "Serkiro" I've seen, combined.

I think "Sekrio" might have more areas, just each one is smaller.

"Bloodborne" also has online dungeons, "Sekiro" isn't online at all.

As far as difficulty, I'd say at least in the beginning "Bloodborne" is worse. I had more trouble with the first optional boss in "Bloodborne" (Cleric Beast) than I have any of the mini-bosses in "Sekiro".

Anyway, if you want a bigger game with more to do, "Bloodborne". If you want a more condensed game with a tighter story, "Sekiro".

Just reached Genichiro last night. Man, this game really wants you to be aggressive, even more so than Bloodborne.

That it isn't a traditional Souls game and that they have to adjust to the changes in combat. Funnily they all preface their whining by saying "I have played all the souls games". Imo they are bytching because they gotten good at souls games and now this game is bending them over. They can't handle that fact.

Damn near every professional and/or well known Souls player on the planet said it doesn't play like the Souls series before it even came out. :dahell:

So I don't understand people copping this game, and then complaining they have to adjust. We went through the same shyt with "Bloodborne", but the difference was obviously a lot smaller in that game.

Really feel like I’m learning this shyt better than I ever learned a From game :wow: I might actually beat this one.

Seven Spears only took me 3 tries to become easy work

Honestly for me I think the difference, and the reason I like it, is the less defensive style, and the closed off nature of the game. I could never figure out which style suited me in the Soulsborne games, and I would always feel like I was starting out wrong. This one basically has everyone at the same class, and you just gotta figure the shyt out

random question but is it fun/productive to explore in this game?

Not much exploration to do. Cause you can’t really farm. Plus the items that enemies drop are practically useless. I only use pellets and the mail healing item.

I disagree completely. Getting to explore and take different paths is my favorite part of the game.
And there's all types of useful items. Stuff like the scrap you use to upgrade the prosthetic, some of the tools themselves can only be found if you veer off the critical path.
Not to mention, if you go out exploring, you're gonna encounter more enemies, which means more XP and more $. If anything I'd say exploring is the most important part of the game

That Genechiro flurry is pissing me off. If I deflect ever single one, I shouldn’t be punished by having to fukkin recover :francis:

if you backstep then hold block your posture will reset in like a second or two.

I have figured out ways to cheese it, but the game isn’t following its own rules on some attacks imo, which I’m not a Soulsborne fan, but to my understanding the main appeal is you know what their parameters are, so the games are difficult but fair.

Edit: and by recover I’m not even talking about recovering posture, I mean the nikka literally has to sit there for a second and can’t move, without his posture even being broken.
