It sounds cool, especially for Spider-Man. Imagine the spidey sense tingling and there's slight variations depending on the scenario.

And the trigger resistance could be interesting with shooters.
Yup that's exactly one of the things mentioned for Spidey.
  • When you hold down the square button the DualSense PS5 controller to use the Venom Blast you will feel a crackle on the left side of the controller. You will feel the build-up. The sensation is then going to shift towards the right side of the controller when you release the Square button.

  • There is going to be something similar for the stealth ability and the controller is also going to be some sort of feedback to indicate where the attacks are coming from.

  • Focus mainly on combat and that is where the integration with the haptic system of the DualSense PS5 controller is going to come into play and make the fighting experience even better.

  • We have seen the mentions of being able to feel shooting an arrow from a bow via the feedback on the DualSense controller. Spider-Man does not use lethal weapons but we will experience something similar for Spider-Sense and web-slinging in Spider-Man Miles Morales.

Controllers...we talking about controllers right now?

NOT THE GAME, NOT THE GAME...that we paid $60-70 for...where it matters.

The controller :aicmon:

We’re talking about the controllers that will make those next gen games (you know what those are, right?) even more immersive and fun to play. You know next gen technology outside of techno-babble none of yall actually understand.

I wonder what the life expectancy going to be of this controller(moving parts)/people dropping them. Along with the battery life. :ehh:

Hopefully yall can turn that dumb shyt off just to save the parts on the controller and battery life. Happy For you Lony Stans :ehh:

Not gonna get too hype over this cause this happens every gen

A new innovative controller feature that winds up getting completely forgotten about by third party developers by the middle of the generation.

Even if it only ended up being used by first party I’d be happy with it.

Shooting the bow in HZD, throwing kratos axe and ripping the heads off people, all the weird effects ratchet and clank will incorporate

I'll believe it once it's utilized thoughtfully

Hopefully it doesn't end up like back touchpad on the VITA, or the 3D on the 3DS, or even the useless 2nd Screen on the 3DS.

Or motion control on the PS3/4

Doesn't seem like a game changer like the DualShock on the PSOne yet, or the analog stick on the Saturn/N64.

The PS4 touchpad didn't have journalists raving over it this much back in 2013. Those things were mentioned in passing and that was it. This is different from the way they're talking.

It's all up to developers :francis:

The reason the touch pad wasn't hyped up as much is because we were all fresh off Sony not utilizing the back pad on the VITA
