Spencer Strider needs to develop his changeup. He needs a 3rd pitch.

The 2021 bullpen was a lot better than this bullpen. It also helped that Will Smith pitched the best he ever has during those playoffs.

We got no choice. They are our main obstacles in securing this WS.
Dodgers will be a dogfight but I feel confident in us coming out victorious. Phillies on the other hand…
The thing that’s scary about playing the Phillies is it’s only a 5 game series. If it was 7 I’d be more confident but anything can happen in 5.
I feel if we can get past that 5 game series we stand a great chance of winning it all.

I was really surprised to see Strider go 7 innings tonight after the 1st inning. Great performance. Encouraging to see as well.

I know we still have to get through September and then the playoffs but I'm interested in seeing what happens with the pitching going forward. Morton may pitch one more year but he can also fall off a cliff because of age if he pitches next season. I believe Fried has one more season before free agency. Just thinking out loud brehs. AA has shown he can build a solid bullpen so I'm not worried about that.
Yeah, Fried has one more year left before he hits free agency. I hope they can work a deal out because I think he's a guy we need to keep. There's a chance we sign Josh Hader to strengthen the bullpen. There's a bunch of high level starters that are available like Blake Snell, Sonny Gray and Jordan Montgomery too.

I really like what I'm seeing from our 1st round pick Hurston Waldrep so far. I hope he can develop into something. AJ Smith-Shawver could be a good arm in the future as well. Hopefully Wright can stay healthy and turn it around. I'm a bit worried about the starting rotation going forward. I think they're gonna let Fried go like they did Freeman and Swanson.
