Facts, BIG did not want to do Juicy at all, until Puff pushed him to, and look how the song blew up. Puff took a cock-eyed fat guy and made him into a sex symbol, pause. If that's not talent I don't know what is.

And I'm the last person you can call a Puff fan. In fact, I did a thread back in 2002, on SOHH, talking about how Puff was way more grimy than Suge Knight and I got laughed at.

How was Puff more grimy than Suge?

He's charged with three different but related things,

A RICO conspiracy this is the overall conspiracy, supported by forearms allegations, violence, obstruction of justice, bribery, kidnapping, arson, he did all those crimes to support the overall goal of his enterprise.

Sex trafficking, these underlying acts are apart of the RICO, but could be brought separately.

transportation for prostitution across state lines. these are part of both

They all involve transporting across state lines, but it's not contingent on how many states, the way I am reading it, but specific counts, like Victim 1 on January 20th 2012 or whatever it is. Flew from NYC to Miami. Defendant conspired to traffic Victim 1 through force, fraud or coercion.

You are correct but with the RICO they are saying he ran a criminal organization that did those things not that he necessarily did them personally.

Overall the charges are weak and centered around prostitution for personal use. Also he and the guest were using drugs for personal use.. puff wasn't selling them. And he wasnt selling access to freakoffs or pimping women out. That's why this is the strangest RICO ever. Its centered around 1 persons private sexual activities with other adults.

Typically RICO means the criminal enterprise benefited financially for the crimes they did. There is no real quantifiable benefit here so where exactly is the criminal organization? If they want to claim puff assaulted or drugged women then charge him directly for that. How hard is that? A RICO for this is a big over reach imo and doesnt make much sense. The defense will hit on this and they have a good shot at beating it if they frame it that way. Puff has legit music and tv businesses and legit parties. He flies artist and people around everyday on his private jet for legit reasons.

He's the lead and singular defendant in the RICO, they are alleging he either personally committed, or worse, directed others on his behalf to further the conspiracy.

There is precedent for these kinds of RICO cases, which means a judge and jury will go for it. The only way out would be a pardon if Harris loses in November. Something along those lines. He's not beating the case straight up at trial.

I've never seen a RICO for prostitution for personal use with adults. If you know of a case show me. But RICO for prostitution normally involves minors or pimping of some sort. Puff was just a customer.

These are very close. They are essentially the same indictments as Puff'. Larry Ray got 60 years in prison.

Nope. None of those are close to what puff is charged with.

In the first link the dude extorted the victims for over 1 million dollars. Which alludes to the financial benefit component I stated that you typically see in the RICO. Plus that case is not about transporting prostitutes. Its about assaulting and extorting college kids he lived with for over a decade.

The second case you linked involves minors and forcing them to do sex acts. Not adult prostitutes for personal use.

So like I said. You will wont find a RICO being used in this way. It's an over reach.

This is a "forrest/trees situation" but yeah lets see where it goes.

edit: and just to add, not sure why you are linking financial gains....that's not really necessary at all. The goal of the enterprise was not financial gain, but enabling the conduct of the defendant. Defedant did this with firearms, obstruction, bribery, and so on. The defintion of RICO and it's use has for sure been stretched to the max in the last 20 years, sometimes too far, esp. in state RICO like Georgia. but this is a righteous case, with important precedents in NYC Southern District.

Judges have seen this cases and they have been upheld on appeal. and in the NYGARD, not sure again, why you think it matters if they are minors or adult women. Minors is just a slightly different charge with more time attached. Like a 20 year minimum and not 15.

The tapes would be important because

A ) they probably show physical abuse, or verbal threats, like Puff slapping or hitting someone, like Cassie, which would support the idea of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion

This is important because escorting is illegal, but more of a gray area legally, so escorts may not want to see or participate in anything like that but once they are there in the room, what are they going to do? Leave? Call HR? Not get paid.

B) The tapes could show people who appear to be very unable to consent, really drunk or really high, and using the drugs themselves.

C) the tapes would show Puff having command of the room, and the situation, which again supports the underlying allegations.

Not really crimes but I doubt anyone of of these people want their tapes floating around.

So why does it say the sex worker was in possession of the tape and turned it in? If there was any rape or assualt on the tape you think they would just be chilling with it? Sounds like its just a consensual sextape.
