I think y'all playing semantics tho.

When I buy that disc I can loan to someone then get it back and keep playing. If I cop something before my boys do I can take it over there and we can run it all day and I can go back to my spot and play some more. If I get tired of it I can sell it with no issues. I can cop an old game of eBay or amazon for $20-30 no problem.

the old way, you're just transferring the licence, since the game can only be played off the disc

the thing is, optical discs were holding back what they could do. that's why games at the end of this gen are requiring installs and such. but you need something to prevent people from just installing the game onto multiple systems from one disc

The good news is the XBOX One will quickly decline in price shortly after release, followed by MS backtracking on all this bullshyt. Still, they're hobbling themselves out the gate.

Most definitely. They know how people are. The thing thats on their side though is I think Sony is going to be doing the very same thing. I still can't see a situation where one console would go so far left and the other one doesn't. It seems like suicide. The only thing I can think of is that maybe MS is trying to force change in the industry to see if it can take hold. If it does, good. If it doesn't and no one buys their sh!t they can go back to publishers and say "See, we tried, it doesn't work." Thats where that "Microsoft may change these policies or discontinue them at any point." comes into play. If it doesn't work they can just flip the switch.

Best believe Sony will do their best it won't go away. The Xbox one will be a popular console for those wanting a nice set top box, but informed gamers are probably close to just going with a ps4/pc/wii u combo. I hope Nintendo joins in and shyts on Microsoft as well. This needs to happen

Nah, to be honest I'll likely keep it PC for a hot minute. If the upcoming PS4 can guarantee me that used games will be allowed and none of this always on camera shyt then i may consider them. The used game nonsense is what kills me though. I buy and sell tons of games and would be crushed if you couldn't do this with the new systems. But with the low pricing of the PC games, I'll likely just build PCs for my entertainment center and living room and continue to eat. Its looking like its going to be fukk consoles all together this go round.
