No conspiracy theory, but the PRISM reveal is starting to make a lot of this make sense. I wonder how much of this is Government influence vs actual stuff Microsoft wanted in their product. It doesn't make sense that they would intentionally alienate gamers this much; it's not like they're stupid and can't see what's happening. There are outside forces at work here.

Any game from any generation i can put in and play. AT LEAST THE CAMPAIGN! Multiplayer being down is understandable because thats a server.

Bingo. That's why I had no problem with the online passes this gen for used games because you used the publishers servers. But locking down single player games that don't even use online? Where dey do dat at?

If I lend a friend my game and he activates it on his XB1, he has to be on my friend's list for 30 days. And he can't even give it back to me!



And don't let Xbox Live go down or someone tries to take down Xbox Live for lulz...that would mean NO ONE IN THE WORLD CAN PLAY THEIR XB1.


Now they are doing the same thing that Sony said they would do in allowing Publishers to set their own DRM rules if they choose...the problem is that MS already set up the fukkin system for them to do it!!!!


But be cool friends, the PS4 will save you. Sony has already stated that you'll be able to play offline with no mandatory check in at the system level (unlike MS). Now if EA, Activision, or Ubisoft choose to do their own thing to stop you with online DRM I guess they can. The problem for them would be....what if you don't connect your PS4 online when buying one of their games and only want to play single player...

I`m very anti-surveillance and while it's all jokes, I can't support this direction they're going in.

This system represents the worst parts of advanced technology.

I hope they stop fukking up though because they're gonna allow PS4 to raise that pricetag because no one is going to want this ONE&DONE

I remember how they abandoned the og xbox and it was fukked up. That wont be shyt compared to your entire library of games not working when they move on to next console.

1. I'm lucky if I can get a month out of a game. Never mind years and years like some of you on here are talking about. I'll get a season out of a sports game and maybe 2 months out of a multiplayer FPS. That's about it. Everything else I beat and I'm done with it.

2. I never borrow games. Haven't since elementary school with my Genesis. Always buy my own.

3. Have never bought a used game in my entire lifetime. Not even in the Funcoland days.

4. I've only traded in one game ever. The last GoW to come out and it was 2 weeks after I bought it.

So not everyone shares the same concerns as you guys do. The only reason I can see myself not buying an XBOX One is if it comes out a lot later than the PS4. OR if it's looking like it's going to flop sales wise...because devs will be less likely to pour money into exclusives and optimization on cross platform games.

They abandoning the 360 now if you haven't noticed... What Microsoft exclusive other than xbox live arcade games have they dropped since Halo 4?

Why would anyone agree to any of those terms? They're treating people like addicts who will agree to anything to get their fix. Is it that serious? I remember when EA tried some of this with Sims 3 and people weren't having it so they dropped it. Some of the stipulations are exactly the same, this seems like it's about more than money. It's highly suspicious.
