This may be true, but the DRM they are imposing is far too draconian. The console gaming market is far different than the market. Most console gamers are not tech savy and are not familiar with the DRM nightmare that most PC users are accustomed. Xbox live already has some minor DRM issues that users worked around, but it seems they are taking these DRM schemes to the next level. I mean, who the fukk seriously thought that making the system unable to play used games was a good idea? Millions of people across the world playbised games regularly, and simply expecting every consumer to pkay full price for evey game is stupid, especially when the competition isn't requiring everyone to do so.

This is a fukked up development and if this leads to reduced sales the entire head of Xbox development should get their asses kcickef and fired. But I will hold ultimate judgment until their E3 conference.

Nah, to be honest I'll likely keep it PC for a hot minute. If the upcoming PS4 can guarantee me that used games will be allowed and none of this always on camera shyt then i may consider them. The used game nonsense is what kills me though. I buy and sell tons of games and would be crushed if you couldn't do this with the new systems. But with the low pricing of the PC games, I'll likely just build PCs for my entertainment center and living room and continue to eat. Its looking like its going to be fukk consoles all together this go round.

1.) This thread is a fear thread fueled by false information that was already cleared up YESTERDAY.

2.) PS+ has this wonderful service all you guys praise, but you don't own ANY OF THE GAMES THEY GIVE YOU. And you can't take them with you over to PS4

3.) Lets just say all this is true and you don't own your games. So you buy it and you have access to it until you abandon the system for the new upgraded system in 2020. The majority of games will be online based, will be cheaper. And most importantly, most games will be free to play meaning you was at the mercy of that consoles internet connection anyway (this is why they are letting you know the deal NOW)

The EULA specifies that you have the right to use it for personal use indefinitely, but own it, nah. You own the disc that the game comes on, but not the intellectual property. Kinda like Microsoft Word. You don't own it, they can stop supporting it any time they choose, but you buy a license to use it on your computer.

The thing is the Eula is kind of iffy legally but with physical copies of things it's hard to enforce . This will lead to lawsuits about the legality of Eula because its a contract that you can't read or agree to until you buy the item and then it's all or nothing .

1. I'm lucky if I can get a month out of a game. Never mind years and years like some of you on here are talking about. I'll get a season out of a sports game and maybe 2 months out of a multiplayer FPS. That's about it. Everything else I beat and I'm done with it.

2. I never borrow games. Haven't since elementary school with my Genesis. Always buy my own.

3. Have never bought a used game in my entire lifetime. Not even in the Funcoland days.

4. I've only traded in one game ever. The last GoW to come out and it was 2 weeks after I bought it.

So not everyone shares the same concerns as you guys do. The only reason I can see myself not buying an XBOX One is if it comes out a lot later than the PS4. OR if it's looking like it's going to flop sales wise...because devs will be less likely to pour money into exclusives and optimization on cross platform games.

If you only get a months use out of a game than trading and the used game market seems like the perfect thing for you. they need to have some type of game rental or extended trials and demos of games...i caint imagine owning a console without being able to rent games...i remember way back when the nes came out and you could rent the system [with a huge deposit]...that was what started it all for me and to think that now you wont be able to rent games--...im sure most of the xbox1 supporters rented heavily last gen so they have to have some apprehension about a potential no rental policy...
