Simple. They are trying to make xbone like the windows of gaming meaning that everything comes through their ecosystem and control the games market.

They tried with live for Windows and it was a total disaster. They knew they could try on consoles because unfortunately console gamers are just not as informed and use closed systems. Microsoft just kept pushing and pushing tho. The first Xbox was a closed system, but they pushed it even further by forcing you to pay to play online.

The 360 launched and Xbox live silver even offered some weekends to play free, demos, and other shyt...that went away. Xbox live gold started putting basic shyt like Netflix, Twitter, and facebook behind a fukking paywall and they actually got away with that?

The Xbox one? fukk it let's take EVERYTHING away from the consumer...those idiots have show that they will not only pay us hundreds for the console, but hundreds for Xbox live as well. This was a long and drawn out strategy from Microsoft all the way back from 2000 and slowly kept chipping away at everything.

They really thought they could get away with all this shyt

Know why xbox fanboys are so mad? Because they look like fukking morons right now...they stick with Microsoft for nearly 8 years with the 360 and just got TOLD what they can or can't do after giving THEM YOUR MONEY.

1. I'm lucky if I can get a month out of a game. Never mind years and years like some of you on here are talking about. I'll get a season out of a sports game and maybe 2 months out of a multiplayer FPS. That's about it. Everything else I beat and I'm done with it.

2. I never borrow games. Haven't since elementary school with my Genesis. Always buy my own.

3. Have never bought a used game in my entire lifetime. Not even in the Funcoland days.

4. I've only traded in one game ever. The last GoW to come out and it was 2 weeks after I bought it.

So not everyone shares the same concerns as you guys do. The only reason I can see myself not buying an XBOX One is if it comes out a lot later than the PS4. OR if it's looking like it's going to flop sales wise...because devs will be less likely to pour money into exclusives and optimization on cross platform games.

It's spineless people like you that don't see the point. It's not about if it affects you...it's the options taken away from you for no good reason

I want to load my games from disc. I don't care if it slows my load times or forces me to place the console horizontally to avoid scratches.

I don't want to allow other players to sign into their account on MY console, play MY games, and credit their gamer score. I mean wtf, get your own shyt nikka.

I don't want to designate 10 people to have access to my entire gaming library from any other console. Sharing is not caring, M$, it's just greed on the consumers end. Make them buy their own shyt!

Disabling the Kinect is too complicated. Who wants to go in menus anymore? Besides, I don't want this shyt now that we know the FBI is watching us 24/7. Nowadays Kinect snitchin so much in the street, that you gotta talk to them like they the police. NAH.

I want to be able to loan and rent games. It's a crime this won't be available on the Xbox AT ALL. I don't care if you're "exploring possibilities with your partners," hashing out business models for the eventual rental service and timed loan plans. If it's not available Day 1, it'll never exist.

I want to bring my discs everywhere I go. You never know when a gaming opportunity may pop up. I have a travel bag full of games for a reason. You and your dumbass "log in and play your library on any xbox" shyt is for the birds. You lucky there's a 24hr DRM check to offset the need for discs or I'd install your shyt on everyone's consoles. You thought the 08-09 mod squad was heavy?

I don't want a mandatory internet connection every 24hrs. I don't care if a smartphone is accepted as a source. I don't care if everyone I communicate with online goes without internet almost never. I don't care if SmartGlass may have a place to make this process easy. Think of the 3rd world countries Microsoft. Think of people still on dial up. Not having internet for 1 day out of 365 is extremely detrimental. We live this videogame life, there's nothing else to do.

And now I can't trade my disc-based games in? Bullshyt. Oh I forgot, it's out of your hands. PUBLISHERS decide if their game can be traded or not. fukk it, I'm still blaming you fakkits. And you say there will be participating retailers? Like Gamestop? So if a publishers allow trading of their game, and our current video game retailers follow suit as expected, then it will be almost exactly like it is now? fukk outa here with that bullshyt. I'm going to Sony where majority of the same publishers make games on. Surely they'll allow their multiplat titles to have two different trade-in and resale policies....
