Honestly, fukk MSFT at this point.

I think the 360 was amazing and love it, will keep it but this shyt is now ONE and DONE.

Stepping on the consumers who built them up to the point where they are now.

PS4 it is.

Most definitely. They know how people are. The thing thats on their side though is I think Sony is going to be doing the very same thing. I still can't see a situation where one console would go so far left and the other one doesn't. It seems like suicide. The only thing I can think of is that maybe MS is trying to force change in the industry to see if it can take hold. If it does, good. If it doesn't and no one buys their sh!t they can go back to publishers and say "See, we tried, it doesn't work." Thats where that "Microsoft may change these policies or discontinue them at any point." comes into play. If it doesn't work they can just flip the switch.

I agree. I just think that Sony might be a little bit more lenient on 1 or 2 points in order to make their console more appealing. Like that 24 hour check thing is bullshyt. If Sony was to give a week they'd make a lot of people more happy.

What do you think is going through their minds with some of these decisions lately? Not just the console, but across the board?

Microsoft is going to ride it out. That's why they dumped all of this information before E3 hoping that it will go away once they show games. And after the summer is over it will all go away.

Look at their stock. It's barely taken a hit. Wall Street doesn't think this will effect anything and neither do I. Just like Steam, gamers will accept it.

You have more faith in them than I do.

I'm looking at the Surface Tablet and Windows8 RT and I see MS conceding massive failures.

The online check is a big thing. Licenses for games are a big thing.

What happens when someone in the military wants to play their console overseas without an Internet connection? What happens in countries where the Internet is shoddy due to infrastructure ?

The Original Rec Room Gang
as a major fan of 360 this shyt depressing....

you wont own the games only the right to license them, meaning in 10years you may think hey let me play that game i purchased 10 years ago, you throw that shyt in and it may not even play despite you buying it :shaq2:

following...

You do not own the games you buy. You license them.
Discs are only used to install and then license games and do not imply ownership.
People can play games installed on your console whether you're logged in or not.
10 people can be authorised to play these games on a different Xbox One via the cloud, but not at the same time, similar to iTunes authorised devices.
Publishers decide whether you can trade in your games and may charge for this.
Publishers decide whether you can give a game you own to someone for free, and this only works if they have been on your friends list for 30 days.
Your account allows you to play the games you license on any console.
Your Xbox One must connect to the internet every 24 hours to keep playing games.
When playing on another Xbox One with your account, this is reduced to one hour.
Live TV, Blu-ray and DVD movies are exempt from these internet requirements.
Loaning and renting games will not be possible at launch, but Microsoft is "exploring the possibilities".
Microsoft may change these policies or discontinue them at any point.

Where you get this info from, sonyfanboycentral.vag?

Mixing in lies with truths is whats hot on the e-streets these days :shaq2:

I might be wrong but i think this has always been so fo games. Also for music and movies. One does never own these things in the conventional way.

WRONG!

Any game from any generation i can put in and play. AT LEAST THE CAMPAIGN! Multiplayer being down is understandable because thats a server. To not even be able to play a console game single player campaign because your system is required to check in with Microsoft should be illegal. When MIcrosoft switches over to their next console eventually, these servers are going to be brought down and you will never be able to play these games again. Any outage to microsoft infrastructure means youll never be able to play these games again. I pop in any nintendo, super nintendo, genesis, playstation 1, playstation 2, xbox xbox 360, ps3 game this really is not the case by and large. Only with the Xloss DUNG are you told you dont really own the games you buy.

Its so demonic, friends.

This.

The EULA specifies that you have the right to use it for personal use indefinitely, but own it, nah. You own the disc that the game comes on, but not the intellectual property. Kinda like Microsoft Word. You don't own it, they can stop supporting it any time they choose, but you buy a license to use it on your computer.

No conspiracy theory, but the PRISM reveal is starting to make a lot of this make sense. I wonder how much of this is Government influence vs actual stuff Microsoft wanted in their product. It doesn't make sense that they would intentionally alienate gamers this much; it's not like they're stupid and can't see what's happening. There are outside forces at work here.
