Couldn’t find a Bomani Game Theory thread. Didn’t realize TNT was showing re-airs leading into NBA doubleheaders.

It's also being reported that ESPN is gonna allow Bomani's contract to expire in August & they already factored that in as part of the layoffs. Which means if that Bomani's contract wasn't about to expire already, he would've been layed off this past weekend with everyone else.

Went back to look - SAS signed a 5yr extension back in 2019.

Judging by how he’s speaking, the work he’s putting into his social media presence especially now with the podcast and YT channel - it’s starting to look more and more like he and ESPN could go their separate ways if/when the contract expires next summer.

Ehhhh I wouldn't be so sure about that considering how dependent they've become on him for content and there is the truth of the matter in that his schtick just isn't hitting like that outside of the sports world as Awful Announcing talked about a few months back. I think he's trying to go all in so he doesn't have to go back, but there isn't really a place for him out there IMO.

He's kind of in a weird spot and he kind of stayed at ESPN too long to the point that he's sort of become exposed.

I read his deal actually expires in 2025. But it is clear he is making the steps to have his own product as he says here.

His YouTube subscriber count is now over 200,000. And that's just happened in the last couple months.

He's too pretentious for me personally and comes off super arrogant. It seems the only people who like him are uppity college educated blacks.

I don't think I've ever agreed with one of his sports takes.....ever.

I personally want to see him win though but he's definitely not for me.
I don't think I've ever seen dude actually discuss sports. His wheelhouse is the edge of sports or the intersection of sports and politics. But when it comes to what's actually happening on the court/field, he doesn't seem too knowledgeable.
