Didn't mention Max, unless I missed it. I hate that Stephen A discusses these types of things because all of these folks were fired/let go for seemingly no reason. Cost cutting gets mentioned, but some people were under contract and ESPN will need to pay up anyway. Even when the cuts were just being rumored, they paid to get Aikman, Joe Buck and McAfee. Stephen A had no problem talking down on Paul Pierce, but he won't bring up ESPN/Disney hypocrisy about costs. He just looks like a puppet.

You thinking of cost cutting in straight forward math. It doesn’t work like that. Businesses use complicated tax laws to manipulate how “losses” show up on their books.

It’s like how WB figured out it would save them more money to write off that entire Batgirl movie and remove it from existence even though it was finished over just placing it on HBO Max.

Couldn’t find a Bomani Game Theory thread. Didn’t realize TNT was showing re-airs leading into NBA doubleheaders.

the show ending segments about a big topic they did were good.

everything else was mid.

a weekly sports show like that just doesn't work in this era. sports news moves too fast, too many podcasts with the same guests for the short form interview, and bomani can be funny, but he's not good at delivering jokes like a comedian.

Jacoby got dumped from ESPN a while ago maybe they can actually start it back up again now that they're both off the network
Again though if I'm Jalen I'm going for the Shannon Sharpe spot on Undisputed. Too big an opportunity and he's the best option
You think :skip: gonna even acknowledge that after how J rose sonned him on live TV?

It does work if you have good content and get out of the way. Real Sports with Bryant Gumble is good.

Bomani doesn’t have the personality or temperament to run a show where he does most of the talking. He comes off as an arrogant know it all who thinks he is funnier than he actually is. He often has good points but he can’t sustain them in a relatable fashion. He needs to be in a role where someone can get him in and out with his points quickly. Any time he is left to linger will inevitably

the format for this show and the format for Real Sports were completely different tho

That nikka's just too sassy for me.

He's got real "Very Smart Brothas/The Root/Grio" type energy. :francis:

He's too pretentious for me personally and comes off super arrogant. It seems the only people who like him are uppity college educated blacks.

I don't think I've ever agreed with one of his sports takes.....ever.

I personally want to see him win though but he's definitely not for me.

Sucks to hear. Kinda proves two things: audiences don’t want smart sports talk and TV might not be Bo’s bag. The digital show (can’t remember the name rn) he had was right for him, that may be a better fit than a live show.
