Back in the days with Chris Berman and Tom Jackson I loved Sunday Countdown. Loved the Fox Pregame show with Terry, Howie and Jimmy but I don’t watch any pre game shows. Most of the time though we at the bar watching football but even on the rare Sundays I don’t go to the bar I watch ZERO pregame. That shyt has all run its course to me
Agreed. However, NFL Primetime Sunday nights on ESPN+ with Chris Berman is cool and gives a nice sense of nostalgia. It’s coming back this season, and I hope they park Ryan Clark as his co-host.

I remember when the NFL made ESPN fall back by cancelling Playmakers. It sucked because that was a really good show.

Sports became more enjoyable after I stopped watching pre-games shows.

Yeah they made ESPN fall back. But lets be real playmakers was going places even ESPN wouldn't go when covering the sport.

Playmakers were discussing all types of under hand stuff players, owners, media members and team execs were doing.

I don’t understand the point of ESPN’s halftime and pre game coverage for NBA games. It’s just filler with nothing of substance.
Just ad space for their sponsors if I had to guess. Haven't watched much of ESPN's pre/post production in years. Would be dope if they could somehow get Jalen and C Webb bury the hatchet. Him and Webb in the studio would be nuts. Always enjoyed C Webb in the studio role.

You might get your wish as he’s a FA and ESPN will have to revamp NBA Countdown once again with Taylor leaving. Honestly, they might as well call Beadle back to do it since it was the only time it essentially had an stability in the host spot.

They already bury the hatchet a few months ago. Might as well try to pair those two together for the right price :yeshrug:.

Will Disney let ESPN spend the bread needed for make it happen is the question especially with Jalen himself likely looking at a paycut during the next negotiations since he doesn’t have Get Up as leverage.

Unless they are Stephen A, none of the other hosts have any leverage and Jalen is not a hot commodity outside the network. Plus, C Weeb needs another job after getting the boot from TNT, so he may work for cheap :ld:.

How can someone retire from ESPN, if they’ve only been there for 10 years :patrice:

Seems like it’s a situation of where they chose not to renew her contract as she’s been splitting double duty at The Ringer for a while now.

Pretty much a boomer being forced out the door since they can get somebody young to do the same exact job for 1/3 the price
