Nahhhhh they seem to be able to replace the women talent easier than the men. If all else fails, then they just give the duties to SAS as he doesn’t seem to turn down work.

If you want SAS type bread, then you better be able to crossover into pop culture like he does.

yall call Maria boring but she's beautiful, personable, has interview skills and is young. she's exactly the type of black woman one of the network channels would add to their morning talk shows. she'll be alright

They most certainly would love to have her, but not at SAS type bread. She should have taken the $5 million dollar Disney put the hammer down on ESPN’s spending habits. If everyone else is having to take paycuts or reduced salaries, then why would she think that she can get SAS type money.

Hell he probably had to take paycuts during the pandemic himself.

Maria come up from SEC network sideline person to now been a great story
they got her doing Gameday, the sidelines for the main crew of the CFB games, nba countdown, wnba..

but honestly, espn seems to be pushing Andraya Carter (@andraya_carter) • Instagram photos and videos
into doing more basketball wise and they i think she is gaining popularity on IG
espn probably see her rise in the power ranking

Working in sports is a dream job for a lot of people so ESPN will never have trouble finding people that will want to work there for less than market value to replace someone they don't want to pay big.
But if you're talented you'll be able to make it somewhere else, Echo started off at ESPN and has raised his profile since leaving.

Ehhh not necessarily. You can be talented, but not talented enough to move the needle like that. Hence this story. Taylor is talented, but not talented enough to ask for SAS type bread. SAS is popular in pop culture more than any other talented on the ESPN roster and that’s why he makes the big bucks that he does. Even Skip is popular in pop culture.

Don’t forget Rachel Nichols (whose talented regardless of what The Coli thinks) flopped when she left ESPN and came right back not even two years later. You can add Beadle to that list although she was best with Colin on Sportsnation.

5 milly is alot to turn down especially in this climate and what's going on at ESPN..
I like her and wish her well..hopefully she didn't oversell herself and fumble the bag and will use the sexism, racism role if she doesn't get another big offer..
