Bad roster construction and lack of depth by the GM. He had three seasons to put complementary pieces around Fox and Sabonis but failed to do so and sits around and does nothing when it’s the trade deadline. Doesn’t help that he keeps picking 6’3” guards every draft.

Mike Brown uses inconsistent rotations and doesn’t have defined roles for players.

Our supposed 3pt shooters have all regressed since our playoff season. Where’s the player development?

After watching the Kings waste Boogie’s prime, I hate seeing them do the same for Fox. The problem is there isn’t just one trade that can fix this team’s issues.

Demar is being used as a scapegoat.

Fox and Sabonis outside game hasn’t materialized either .

So you have Fox,Sabonis, and Demar who are all best with the ball in their hands and who are all below average from 3

On defense they don’t have any rim protection. Both Keegan and Sabonis have physical limitations that’ll never alllow them to be positives on that end .

Sabonis is too slow to guard 4s and isnt guarding a thing at the 5..They need to pair him with a player that can play the 4 AND be that rim protection. Like Jaren Jackson (they can’t get him just saying )

More realistic is probably Isiah Stewart

He would solve a lot of their issues on that end while being low maintenance offensively

Problem is

DeMar was not needed. They were better off keeping Harrison Barnes who is a good 3-point shooter and can guard some 4s.

I think they were spooked about Fox (rightfully so).

They knew what time Fox was on before the rest of us and just running back with Barnes would’ve sealed their fate with De’Aarron

When the move for DeMar was made he was really the only notable guy left out there and probably a “fukk it why not “ move on both sides.. For Demar because it is in California and is a playoff contender…And Sac had to do something to show Fox that they serious and if it works they have a bigger chance at keeping him .

Is it the best fit pure basketball wise ..no

But it is a move that showed Fox that they were serious and the only move they were capable of making to show him that .

Do you watch Kings games? Fox developed the 3 point shot last year. It’s tailed off some this year because of bad high volume shots to keep them in games but offensively, nothing is on Fox. His problem is that Demar operates from his same spots. @FAH1223 don’t let this dude make me add you to my anti-Fox opp list .

One thing I'm shocked was that Mike Brown when he was coaching the Cavs and Lakers, he was an amazing defensive coach

Seems like when he went to the Kings, he's done a 180 on focusing mostly on offense. Which is odd. Did he change his philosophy, or are the Kings players really that bad defensively?
Of their top 10 players that get minutes, only 2 are good defenders, one is Ellis and the other is Murray. Everyone else is a bad or poor defender including Sabonis and Fox. They should have gotten a defensive center to anchor behind Sabonis or some type of defensive forward.
