"perceived"? There is a racial layer that exist
Fear to comment on it has nothing to do with Rev Al or white folks' response. It is a personal decision, for personal gain
Come up off of Al's nuts.smh. Nikka talking like he is in a marketing meeting looking for a new face of the company. Save your poor attempts at distraction and confusion
lol starting with "actually" and ending with "some extent" clearly shows your attempt at trying to force an argument that otherwise holds no ground in countering my point, which was very clear
Again, cases known and not known nationally all concluded similarly, so Rev Al's presence and their opinion about him don't mean shyt. Save the deflection attempt
THISwhat personal gain?
this shyt is politics at this point, and yes, there IS a racial layer, but the family must create the perception that they are NOT trying to make this case about race, Al Sharpton being involved would be tantamount to "making it about race".
He needs to be kept far away from any situation involving unarmed Black people being shot as he will hurt the case far more than he could possibly help it.
this is chess not checkers, it's already not looking good for the family with the revelation of the traffic stop video of Walter inexplicably running from the car.
Leeway does not = shooting him in the back
You keep admitting this so why are you even probing for cracks to not believe what you see with your own eyes?
Dude, just stop. You are embarrassing yourself.
This is the same reason why all these dudes get off in the past.this case won't be about what we see, lawyers won't be in the court room saying, "just look at the video". Napoleon is right, these are the tough questions that will be asked in court, the groundwork has already been laid to create reasonable doubt in the minds of potential jurors. this shyt isn't about what we see with our eyes but rather "ladies and gentlemen of the jury, just imagine you were officer Slager..."
Walter Scott’s family has reportedly told Al Sharpton — America’s most notorious race hustler — to keep his “circus” away from the funeral.
Scott was shot and killed by a white police officer, which as we all know, Sharpton sees as a golden ticket to riches, so it’s probably a good idea to keep the man and his divisive rhetoric as far away from the memorial service as possible.
After all, it was Sharpton and a few others who really stirred the pot in Ferguson and kept people fired up to do all the looting and rioting that nearly destroyed the entire community.
Here’s the scoop.
From PJ Media:
Walter Scott’s family have asked Al Sharpton not to attend the funeral, it is claimed.
But as the nation’s attention turns to South Carolina and footage showing Officer Michael Slager shooting dead father-of-four Walter Scott, his parents and brothers have made plain that they do not want the same treatment.
According to the New York Daily News, the family told Rev Sharpton to ‘keep away’ from the relatives-only memorial service.
A source close to the Scotts told the paper: ‘We don’t want another Ferguson type of circus here.’
If this is indeed true, it’s a very smart move on behalf of the Scott family. A funeral is a time of mourning and remembering and shouldn’t be used to make a political statement, which is exactly what Sharpton would do.
Sharpton is an opportunist who uses these kinds of tragedies to gain attention and sucker people out of donations, lining his pockets with cash at the expense of those who are hurting and in pain.
He’s a sick man who profits by keeping people divided by skin color, and since he’s a raging attention hog, there’s no doubt he would take the funeral and put himself at the center, drawing attention away from Scott and his family.
Since the officer involved in the shooting has been charged, it’s clear justice is likely going to be served here, so there’s no need to turn this into a national issue and rile up protesters to the point where they turn North Charleston into the next Ferguson and end up burning the place down to the ground.
Let’s hope the family is truly taking this course of action, and Al Sharpton keeps his nose out of the situation.

Cops are tasked with operating within GUIDELINES dude. Even during foot chases. This is the same reason why all these dudes get off in the past.
If you don't understand how the defense works, you'll never see justice.
Scott running ALREADY had the officer on AMPED alert.
Dude bolted out the car and at that moment, Slager is thinking "how the fukk do I apprehend this dude?"
What reasonable doubt you talking about?
You nikkas got no idea what you are talking about. That's why I refrain from having extended conversations on topics like these.
You dudes too worried about how 'they' see shyt and how that could cloud the 'truth'.
Like yea nikka, that goes on all the time. Trayvon Martin case is a perfect example. First vote during deliberations was 3-3, which later turned to 6-0 not guilty.
How do you go from guilty to not guilty in three days??
Easy... deliberations become more about personality pecking orders among jurors than the truth.
But we have video of the shooting. Guilt will be the verdict in this case.
