for sure, the comparison is ridiculous. Reeves was an historically bad actor, perhaps the worst big time actor in modern history. He could only strike one note in his movies, had zero range, and his characters had the depth of a teaspoon. Goslling may be a tad overrated, and getting by on his looks, but hes in another galaxy when compared to reeves.

I agree. Walberg is awful too, and like you said its made worse by the fact that he is taken seriously.

But keanu is next level. Even he, himself, knew he was terrible, which is why he stayed in his lane. I saw the lake house in theaters, and people were cracking up he was so bad.

Gosling is able to convey so much with his body, hands, eyes and voice. He nails the drama and the comedy in this scene. The scene is so subtle and would so easy to fukk up. And lets not forget, he was 27 when this movie was made and beasting like an veteran actor

I like him. He's generally picked interesting projects. His performances in Half Nelson and Blue Valentine are undeniable and his performance in Drive was a nice throwback to classic films like Le Samurai and The Passenger.

But of the current crop of Hollywood actors I think Michael Fassbender is the best. And I have to also shout out the gawd Michael Shannon.

Right?! That movie alone proves he's a good actor. Also, the character in Drive was supposed to be stoic, quiet and insignificant... up until what he cared about was messed with. Then he became a psycho.

I'm a fan of his.

I think this next year is going to be big for him.
