I know Day is going to take this blame

But this is totally on Chip Kelly

Downs interception at Michigan 15 yard line and on 3rd and 6 you call a run play against one of the best Dlines in the country and it led to a miss field goal

Then Sawyer intercepted warren and your next possession you decided to run the ball again and force to punt..

Michigan had a injured secondary and you only attack them one drive which was a TD and never did it again

Chip Kelly cost OSU period
Even Kelly can't deflect this from Day

Every day that goes forward, the more you will realize why Day can't recover from this.

This is program-shaking loss in the worstest of ways

Yeah, I would. I have my concerns about what OC he would choose (which was his main problem in TEN) but in college where most of the time there is in imbalance in talent besides a handful of games, I could see it not mattering as much. I mean, ttun just beat us without being the slightest threat in the pass game.

Would he accept tho? Probably not.

I saw somebody float Eddie's (George) name and I'm not sure if I want somebody going from TSU to OSU fr fr even if he would get it more than most. And Tress did come from Youngstown of all places.

Matt Campbell's name always gets tossed around since he had that OH history and what he does with Iowa St but Idk.

Eddie George would be dope, but he probably needs a couple more years to prove he's ready. Look at what's happened with Luke Fickell at Wisconsin. People were saying he'd eventually be the coach at ND or OSU and he's been terrible at WI, a school that used to sleepwalk to 9 wins every year.

Day should've seen what was going on and told breh he was taking the sticks 🎮 for a couple of drives as the head coach who is only a year removed from calling plays. Shyt, Hartline is allegedly supposed to have sum say so and I know he wanna utilize his guys.

This is 'The Game' that gets you either fired or under threat of being fired breh. Harbaugh went thru the same shyt til he finally broke thru. And Day doesn't have nearly as much cache or clout as him (Stanford history, NFL history, being alum of the school, etc) so why wouldn't get the benefit of the doubt?

Unless mans goes on a rampage and mudstomps every single team he plays henceforth on his way to a national title, ain't nobody round here gon wanna hear what he sellin' & even THEN, that might still not be enough.
Day's staff has more Ohio State pedigree than Day.

He's gone!

My man... you trying to make this about about money and that's the wrong way of looking at this. He will be paid because he was good for what he brought to the table.

That's what the buyout is for.

Ohio State knew what they were doing when they put the buyout clause in.

But the dude is toast bruh. He won't be on the sidelines when Ohio State plays them in Ann Arbor next year. You can book that

Sooo.. you guys wanna risk losing players? You wanna risk losing your incoming next 2 classes? And be back losing (potentially) a fifth straight to Michigan and risk being 4th or 5th in the league next year? Cuz no mater who you get to coach, it will be open season on the players from other squads. Yall dont want them problems

Eh. It's a diff climate though as far as Wisconsin is concerned. That ain't ya fathers Camp Randall Luke was walking into. He do need to start showing flashes though akin to what he was doing in a more with less situation at Cincy. EG def gotta put a lil more work in tho before his name can officially be in these convos but at the same time, sometimes it's the unexpected choice that pans out.

You're making it seem like Day is above the university and he's not. It's clear you have an elevated sense of value for Day. That cool.

But Ohio State is Ohio State with or without Day bruh.

My God, I completely forgot about that play. Might've been the worst play call of the entire game/season for OSU. Playing for field goals in a rivalry game? HELL NAH

I do agree WI was on the downswing, but it's their first time not being bowl eligible in 22 years. They don't play y'all/PSU/MI every year. There's no make or break rivalry there (that Minny rivalry isn't nationally relevant or even relevant within the B1G). It's only his second year, but I expected them to make much more progress.

Lol if that means we're better off in the long run, then yes...

I fux wit Vrabel the long way & think he's a helluva coach but he has a ceiling (until he wants to adapt to modern day NFL a bit more), and so although it's bad right now in Tennessee with players exodus (Henry, Hopkins, etc), players on IR, new coach is getting better & better by the week and building something (hopefully) that will be more sustainable in modern time.

Shyt ain't gon always be pretty.

But I also don't understand what you're basing this off of because besides the one year of bs with Luke Fickell, when has the train stop rollin' no matter who was the coach here at Ohio State?

And that's the goofy shyt that have a mf head 🪓

You got ya chest out vs Indiana and go for it on 4th downs when you know their is a clear talent gap, stakes aren't as high, etc.

But against ya rivals where you should wanna go for the throat...ya nuts shrivel up.

WRs come to OSU for the WR coach

There are a littany is talented QBs that come out every year... and not to mention on Day's watch, the last two QBs have been McCord and Howard.

Howard has a chance to prove me wrong with a natty, but neither have been good enough to Michigan. That's a fact. So much for his recruiting
