And that's the goofy shyt that have a mf head 🪓

You got ya chest out vs Indiana and go for it on 4th downs when you know their is a clear talent gap, stakes aren't as high, etc.

But against ya rivals where you should wanna go for the throat...ya nuts shrivel up.
It's been that way for four years. It's over. HE HAS TO GO!

You're making it seem like Day is above the university and he's not. It's clear you have an elevated sense of value for Day. That cool.

But Ohio State is Ohio State with or without Day bruh.
I do agree, but don't forget there was a stretch post-Woody, pre-Tressel when OSU was having more top 15 type of years.

Tres really elevated OSU to routine top 5 finishes and a Natty being the expectation every year. Urban then took the program to top 2-3 status and a futher expanded national recruiting base (Tres was there his final few seasons too).

Not saying y'all would go back to the Bruce/Cooper era of being a top 12-15 program, but things can be cyclical:

-Bama in the early 2000s pre Saban was basura
-Imagine hopping in the time machine back to 2003 and telling yourself that USC, OU and UMiami would have 6-6 years

WRs come to OSU for the WR coach

There are a littany is talented QBs that come out every year... and not to mention on Day's watch, the last two QBs have been McCord and Howard.

Howard has a chance to prove me wrong with a natty, but neither have been good enough to Michigan. That's a fact. So much for his recruiting
Y'all have several 5* QBs, they're just younger. Stroud, from a talent standpoint, has an argument for being OSU's best QB all time...so Day has had elite QBs

Y'all were supposed to have Cam Ward but Miami out-bid or South Beach lured him. Howard is okay...he's just not on the level of the past 7 or 8 OSU QBs...even Honda was probably better from a skills standpoint.

Eh. It's a diff climate though as far as Wisconsin is concerned.

People outside of Wisconsin didn't know that Paul Chryst had no recruiting department... at all, and was no longer getting the in-state talent that Alvarez or Bielema were always getting along with walk-ons. This is a long-term rebuild but Fickell will need to show progress next year.

Nil and the transfer portal changes everything.

If you have the gwap you can always have a good qb

Saban was an Ohio State coach and Urban is from Ohio.

I could post coach after coach that has ties to Ohio State, but I'd be here all day.

Ohio State is the pulse of college football for a reason.

Ohio State will have their choice of coaches everywhere

I agree, but why did OSU have to settle for Howard? He wasn't all that great at K-State, and doesn't seem to bring that much more to the table than McCord.

I get McCord left b/c he wanted to be guaranteed the starting spot, but I never felt that Howard was going to come in and elevate considerably higher.

5 star QB coming in this year is from Ohio. That's not on Day.

But the problem Day has is the way he recruits doesn't mix with beating Michigan.

It's proven.

Penn State is another class or two from exposing Day as well.

I'm not denying any of that. I'm simply pointing out there have been stretches where OSU was simply a very good program, instead of a top 3 program, and that this has also happened to other top programs. I agree with the money, donor support, etc. OSU should be no less than a top 4 program every year. I also agree that there was NO excuse to lose yesterday.

Who would be your top few choices if Day gets canned?

Howard was overcompensation for Day missing on McCord.

McCord lost his job and so will Day

You think it's because Day's scope is more national that some players, say CJ Stroud from CA, don't have that embedded hate for scUM, or don't have the same pride for the program?

I always appreciated how NO ONE that was a 4* or better left the state if Tressel offered, when pre-Tres, Mich was recruiting ohio well (desmond, Chuck, etc.), ND as well.

Also, the portal, bringing in Hired Guns for a year, they too might not fully grasp or even care about the rivalry. Same for recruits that come in specifically for NIL
