I'm being sarcastic. But I like the idea.
He delivered two of the better comic book movies in years. He's solid. As long as this isn't no super hero shyt then I will put faith in Ryan.

I really think Jonathan Majors was going to be the other brother. They were saying how they were going to work on future projects coming up during the Creed 3 press tour....and then shyt hit the fan.I knew when they said it was going to be a 30s-40s period piece that it was going to tackle race. It's hard to do a story with Black folks in that time frame without doing so, especially set in Jim Crow south.
NGL I get it. A lot of Black projects do provide commentary or focus on race and race relations especially post Get Out. It's understandable as race plays a part in many of our lives, but people are now looking for pure escapism especially when it comes to fantasy and horror. A lot of people were disappointed to find out that "Magical Negroes" wasn't actually about a HBCU for wizards and TBH that concept does sound pretty dope. People just want to see more films where Black people are existing in our own spaces/worlds, being ourselves.
That said, I am interested in this film and I trust Coogler. Not sure if MBJ can pull off playing 2 characters but we'll see.
Yes.
I could have just dealt with a magical vampire movie in modern times. Or some alternative world. I didn't need vampires vs the KKK. I'm tired of black historical trauma porn.I knew when they said it was going to be a 30s-40s period piece that it was going to tackle race.
