At what point does one country just say fukk it and drop a nuke? How long can a skirmish like this go on for until one country lets their nuts hang and go scorched earth? The ball is in Russia’s court and if they taking it there then make it happen.

Let me break it down


Ukraine had leverage because Russia’s oil and gas was going through them due to the old Soviet Union, making them an unfriendly nation with total control over many aspects in Russia in effect.

Now that they manouvered the pipelines around Ukraine and finally have a strong ally in Belarus, the gig is up.

The ridiculous notion of the Ukraine SSR joining NATO is a fantasy of cold warrior lunatics. If Russia wanted to invade the Ukraine for real for real the entire NATO couldn’t stop the advance until France or at the very best Western Germany. This posturing over arming Ukrainian troops is window dressing. They could land in Kyiv tomorrow if it was really like that… Russia still has a more powerful military than China by a mile. Consider that.

We can only hope so. Taiwan aka Saipan was stolen land by the Dutch in the 19th century from the Qing Dynasty. The Chinese were totally unaware of and totally unprepared for western piracy and tyranny. They (the west)went to China on several occasions under false pretences and butchered people while stealing lands and treasures. They even destroyed a beautiful Chinese historical site out of pure racist hate, the Summer Palace.
So any decent human being would like to see the Chinese reunited with their own province.

one of wildest things I ever read was some nuclear weapons expert saying that he believed in modern times if a nuke was ever used it would be accidental. So kind of in the situation we are in now but some dumb general somewhere in Russia misheard an order and accidentally fired one off, then rip the rest of us

The ABSOLUTE WORSE CASE happening imo is the Russians going apeshyt and deciding to invade the Baltics and/or less likely Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria as part of a preemptive offensive if they get Intel that NATO is gonna drop them thangs. The West isn't gonna drive deep into Russia to cut off Putin's head for fukking Estonia and Lithuania... and Russia knows better than to try and cross into Poland (they might tho) but definitely not Germany. Anyone who joined after 97 is at risk but not the core members. Both sides would bring out the nukes in those cases. But there's potential for major, MAJOR fukkery to happen in Eastern Europe if this gets out of hand. The plot of games like Modern Warfare and Battlefield do a decent, if sensational job, of detailing what a major NATO/Russian escalation would look like.

Another thing that's got me like is how upfront the Russians are being about the racial/ethnic nature of this crisis. They literally said "NATO led by the Anglo-Saxon nations are spreading disinformation and escalating tensions " Slavs don't fukk with the Germanic nations on any kind of level
