People don't realize that a snap military exercise is like 9 to 13k soldiers. Putin got 100k surrounding Ukraine, plus 140 ships out at sea headed to the Mediterranean and possibly the Black Sea, and he's still bringing in more troops and heavy artillery. The minimum he's going for is full regime change in Ukraine and maybe all out war with NATO in Europe if it gets to that point. This shyt is not ordinary for someone so pragmatic, feels like a maneuver from someone who KNOWS his time is coming to an end.

I thought he was trying to annex the south and split the country, Brits are saying he ain't on that, Kremlin is trying to install a puppet leader after the regime change.... The Biden administration is considering sending as many as 5,000 U.S. troops to Eastern Europe, a U.S. official confirmed to NPR, in what would be a step-up in American military involvement in the region amid growing fears of a Russian invasion of Ukraine.

U.S. troops could be headed to Romania and Poland, or possibly Bulgaria or Hungary. No final decision has been made but the troops have been told to be ready to move, the official said.

U.S. service members could be drawn from their existing posts elsewhere in NATO countries in Europe. Some of the troops would also likely come from the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C.

The New York Times, which first reported the news of planned troop movements, said senior Pentagon officials laid out a number of options for President Biden on Saturday.

Among them, sending 1,000 to 5,000 troops to Eastern European countries and the Baltics, "with the potential to increase that number tenfold if things deteriorate," according to the Times.

There are no plans to send more Americans into Ukraine itself, according to the paper.

In short there is very little the west can do to stop Russia from invading Ukraine. Russia has the 4th largest amount of currency reserves. They have been stockpiling gold and cash since 2014 because they have been planning for an invasion the last 8 years. So sanctions won't do shyt except push Russia further to the China camp which is a mistake if you are interested in stopping China. But you know post Cold War liberal interventionist and neo conservative Washington foreign policy makers haven't been known for their smarts since 2001.

Ukraine's military has improved from 2014 but the amount of firepower Russia is bringing to bear and the manpower they have mobilized tells me it will get ugly fast for Kiev. The fact Russia is going to open another front from Belarus means Ukrainian forces will be forced to keep forces at the capital. What this means they can not reinforce their forces in the south and east. Russia is likely going to take all of eastern Ukraine before the Dnieper and southern Ukraine to create that land bridge like a hot knife through butter. And the firepower they have assembled and still assembling means they are going to go all out to make sure Ukraine becomes a landlocked failed stated reduced to rubble.

Biden sounded like a p*ssy, the staff will not bring the dikks out. Only give assistance with weapons, Russia bout to make Ukraine their bytch and ain't no one gonna do nothing about it. This a ploy from Russia to make Ukraine kneel and avoid prevent nato union. I think he is going to do, if for no better reason than to prove how tough he (and Russia are) the big online joke for years has always been how much of a killer Putin is, he bout to prove it
