I know this is higher learning and we try to find a defense for everything even if it doesn't deserve it, but there is no way this can be defended. Zelensky been getting way too many passes...

this is why sanctions doesn't work with someone as coldhearted as Putin. he only understands strength you gotta go physically at him. if he does pull something like you said, America and NATO gonna catch alot of blame.

Ukraine suspends 11 political parties with links to Russia
Russia had 11 opposition parties with links and still went to war.
That should speak to the Ukraine's desire to be independent if nothing else, otherwise a Putin puppet would have been in power and pulling the strings.

Some people don’t have passports recognised by all countries like some of you are fortunate enough to be born with. So they need to go on a dangerous treck on their own to try to enter other countries until they find somewhere they can settle and then bring their family over. Unfortunately some of em are never heard from again.
It’s more dangerous to have your wife and kids with you when you don’t know where you are going and the road ahead is full of danger.
But yeah, you judge people in a situation you have never been in. Some of these guys don’t realise the privilege they are born with.
This. Folk talking like "get your wife and kids out of the country" is something you can just snap your fingers and do.

FWIW you do know LBJ and Nixon went to Vietnam in the middle of the Vietnam War. Eisenhower went into the Korean Combat Zone when he was President-elect. And as he points out, three European Prime Ministers visited with Zelensky in Kyiv just last week.

Nah. That won’t really help much plus cross-border attacks might start sooner than later since negotiation isn’t going to do anything. Ukraine has planned A LOT since the bullshyt in 2014. The entire west and southwest regions are a big question mark right now. This isn’t the first time that Russia made a large incursion into Ukraine after 2014 and they got a black eye then too. Numbers and geographical size will never defeat skill and experience in combat. Ukraine is not a small country nor does it have a small fighting force. These rocket and bombing raids hurt but they aren’t the death blows the media is making them out to be. They’re structured in overlapping layers of defense. Imagine you punch into one and you get stuck grappling while the other layers are able to hit your flanks as much as they want. The other adjacent overlapping defenses are still free to deal with other potential threats and support those in need. We haven’t seen how big this is going to get.

Zelenskyy and his circle have been tip toeing the line in plenty of statements but it's ok IMO. He's trying to appeal to emotions because he is faced with the implacable reasoning of NATO not wanting to directly engage Russia and escalate the conflict.
So he needs to be outlandish at times to force hands to do more than they actually do. This is also a way to try to touch the general public as well as they may not necessarily understood NATO's reasons
