No guarantee Biden wins if gas prices today are low either. Again, its a bad signal to the rest of the world especially if your claim to fame is being a protector of democracy across the world.

Not banning imports also signals to Putin that you can't live without his resources. There's no power in that.
The better things are for him politically, then better chance Trump isn't able to come back. If that means not being a full globalist then so be it.
While Biden is no guarantee, there is no guarantee even for Trump to win the Primaries. He has been banned from Twitter, which benefited him alot along with tons of Free Media coverage for his antics. However in his latest public appearances, he has tried to seem Presidential; toning down his volume a bit. Not to mention a ton of his handpicked Candidates lost local elections last year.

He still has his followers, but really with Trump not having any social platform, along with now Russian money frozen; he really is going to hard time winning.
The entire Republican party is still bending the knee to Trump and its a cult of personality. The nomination is his and voters are simple and will think with their pockets. The economy did well under Trump pre covid. Record inflation and high gas prices under Biden. The choice is easy for simple minded voters like that

You're moving the goal posts. You went from the American people are suffering to protecting against Trump.

His job as President isn't to solely prevent Trump from coming back. That doesn't even make sense. :stopitslime:

I'm always amazed at people who consider foreign policy to be 3rd or 4th order of the President. It's the one place where the President has almost unlimited power.

Lol @ anyone on the Coli that doesn't understand the world is already at war with Putin right now. Look at this nikka's face. It's highest level of diplomacy going on bc theses dudes know what will happen if Putin keeps going rougue. This is so much bigger than Ukraine. The Economic/Intel War with Russia will become weaponized if this cat doesn't go back in his kitty liter fr fr.

Yes.

Putin has been sabre rattling and provocating for over 20 years now. Invading Ukraine provided as good a pretext as any to finally have it out and settle accounts--economically, intel-wise, cyber, etc.. So much the better that it was a non-NATO, non-aligned country he attacked. NATO takes none of the losses while recouping all of the military benefits.

This also explains why we've been expelling diplomats (spies) en masse. It's also why RT America went off the air.

If anything, we haven't been ruthless enough in dealing with American-born clients of the Russian state and other assorted useful idiots. As you said, this is a war in all but name, and at any other time in America's history we wouldn't let foreign operators run around with impunity during a war.
