Luckily the UK has never been dependant on Russian oil.

The rest of Europe are going to struggle. It will be really interesting to see how Germany respond to Russian threats to shut down Nord Stream 1.

the US and Canada feeding them fuel by sea is the only solution i see and i don't know if it's even a solution.
that may just cushion them but not supply for all their needs.

what if there was a TransAtlantic pipeline?

if that shyt busts open at the bottom of the ocean...

i suppose they could turn it off at the source but how do you repair that?

China will get out of this relatively unscathed I think. From analysis I read, the strong response from the West kind of calmed China down in its bully tactics in the China sea though.

A weakened Russia seems to be an even better news for them because they will then have the chance to cannibalize its economy as Russia may have to look eastwards to find buyers.

CIPS will probably be a strong alternative for non-Western countries and Russian companies might use it more potentially reinforcing the yuan.

China has already claimed HK without a peep from the West...

Where are you getting this rhetoric ?

people have lost interest already

russia has stalled and no one wants a no fly zone.

Two schools of thought,

The economic impact and the impact on the climate. Either way we are looking at hard decisions.

Russia isn't a can we can kick down the road anymore. If people aren't seeing that now, their children will see it later.
