After RT got the boot, it made me wonder….why the hell was Russian State TV in our cable packages anyway?

Japanese State TV is also on a lot of cable packages (NHK world). As is China State TV (CCTV). The BBC, TV5Monde (France), DW (Germany), CBC (Canada) and many others.

Is Russia even planning to help w/ infrastructure and rebuilding if they "win"? How do they expect to even keep control in the long term? There's zero foresight in all of this.

so why would the US and Germany (I guess that means EU) spend money rebuilding a country that is now a Russian ally (no NATO agreement apparently)?
