Nah Russians still don't know what hit them. No Apple, no VISA/Mastercard, no flights to europe or US, no withdrawals over $20, no wire transfers, 20% interest rates, 18.6% mortgage rates on new and under construction, exporters must sell their fx revenue for rubles. By Friday we should see a ton of this
Visa and Mastercard pulled the plug too?

Lord have mercy.

Uncertain grounds
Think China might see this as the chance to take power from the dollar global supremacy. Getting Russia on board would domino effect several other Chinese Allie’s and friends, or at least have them begin to use both the yuan and the dollar.

I was wondering if china would consider floating the yuan during this but I doubt it. China is very deliberate and dont like being pushed off their timelines. If they float it then they were planning on it already, not that it was a spur of the moment reaction

Tensions rise at the £3bn Surrey estate Russian oligarchs call home

There is a narrative beginning. Folks wants Russians run out.

However, a few minutes’ walk away at a council estate that backs on the estate it was hard to stop Joy, a 75-year-old retired furniture saleswoman, from speaking her mind about “all those bloody dodgy Russians next door”.

“I think they should all be turfed out of the country,” she said. “Why should they be allowed to live here when there is a war going on over there. The only way to stop Putin is to put pressure on Russians.

“The rich Russians who live in the huge houses over there,” Joy said, pointing at the fence that separates the communal garden of her council estate from the St George’s Hill golf course in the estate, “the government should seize their houses.”

The world needs more Joy's.

:wow:

"How did we not stop him early ?"
They could never lol. The very nature of Russian prisons will get most people cold feet to take that risk.
Try to stop a dictator or Siberia for you and your family. Not many folks are taking that challenge

That has to come from Putin's inner circle

Even worse if shyt hits the fan in Belarus. Them motherfukkers irrelevant as hell unlike Russia. People know Russia and Ukraine but without this whole thing, nobody would be thinking about them. Not like they can flee to Russia with things getting bad there and them being landlocked. Them other borders close and they stuck.
