Well for one, America by and large has the exact setup in Central/South America that Putin would want in his own sphere of influence. Why annex when the vast majority of countries within your orbit have govts agreeable to your geopolitical goals?

Also, America don’t want all them extra non-whites. Why you think they never went all in back when they were more of an imperialist nation? shyt, they still won’t give places like Puerto Rico and Guam statehood ain’t no way they’d do anything with Central/South America.
