If Russia invades, they should stop at the eastern part with Russian minority, where they'd be considered liberators.
Just like with Crimea.

Russia should not go all the way to Lviv, the most anti-Russian parts of the country.

It’s not gonna be a wider conflict. It will just be between Ukraine and Russia. No one in the west is gonna risk nuclear war and the end of civilization over fukking Ukraine. Ukraine will be on their own.
If NATO doesn't come to their defense it hurts their credibility, which means alot in terms of global policy.

You have a country that wants to join nato and are are asking for support, if the west ignores them then they look weak. Cacs in power are willing to risk it all over this shyt.

Oh don't get it twisted I have nothing but smoke for the Anglospheres foreign policy, but coming from a country that switched one colonial master (America) for what basically amounted to another (Soviet Union, and now both Russia/China) I have a perspective on the Russians and Chinese that some of yall might not have seen first hand. They will enslave you under the guise of revolution and comraderie. At the end of the day, the Pax Americana era was safer than this new multipolar world were entering as evidenced by this thread. Were on the verge of major conflicts in Europe and Asia just a year after Trump ran our credibility into the ground and Biden pissed on its grave. But this crisis could have definitely been avoided with some appeasement. Not on the the level of Neville Chamberlain, but honestly we (Americans) have no need to be in fukking Ukraine of all places. Same as Taiwan, why are we forced to defend a breakaway island we don't even legally recognize anymore? It's preposterous.

Basically what you’re saying here is 100 percent true all around but it’s in my opinion in the wrong context

look at the Soviet Union during the Cold War… as the 10-1 underdog against the west yeah they did a lot of desperate boneheaded shyt, worked with a lot of desperate bone headed cats, and did a lot of foul mistaken stuff. If Castro didn’t have to go up against the Reagan admin and their anti communist lunacy, who knows what kind of leader he would have become during the 80s rather than what he became. Things are always in context so in the new context with a declining America less even notionally attached to the principles of like freedom justice etc.. other people will want to pick up that mantle. Of course it’s all marketing for the most part but still it made a difference politically in the US. Iran contra was a huge scandal that almost brought down the most popular president in decades but in 2022 brother that would barely be top story.
Imagine even Bush Sr brazenly ordering drone strikes that deliberate and publically kill children with no backlash. It would have been a massive scandal back then. That’s what a unipolar world looks like; the lack of accountability and awesome power creates a behemoth.

Why would NATO defend a non-NATO nation?

The CIA May Be Breeding Nazi Terror in Ukraine

Given the facts, there’s a good chance that the CIA is training actual, literal Nazis as part of this effort. The year the program started, 2015, also happened to be the same year that Congress passed a spending bill that featured hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of economic and military support for Ukraine, one that was expressly modified to allow that support to flow to the country’s resident neo-Nazi militia, the Azov Regiment. According to the Nation at the time, the text of the bill passed in the middle of that year featured an amendment explicitly barring “arms, training, and other assistance” to Azov, but the House committee in charge of the bill was pressured by the Pentagon months later to remove the language, falsely telling them it was redundant.

Fun fact: Hillary Clinton's State Department was the one funding the Ukrainian Nazi's "independence campaign" hence why Putin helped Trump get elected.
