I mean Russia is getting their teeth kicked in, but the American part seems like it is been shaped by the last 20 years of recent conflicts. We were an occupying force fighting insurgencies in flip flops vs fighting a similarly armed enemy. I think if we fought for example China we would be losing more than a tank in that conflict.
The Invasion of Iraq would probably be the closest litmus test since they had a fairly large standing army, and the Coalition lost around 30 tanks. I agree that China will be a completely different kind of shyt show. That's going to be Naval. I've said earlier in this thread, the US Military ran war games and a conflict with China in the South Pacific would equal 800 aircraft lost between both sides, plus the US would lose one to two aircraft carriers. China would get it even worse though. Phyricc victory territory.
