Putin is trying to will this mobilization into reality. If he actually goes through with this, he'd be lucky to get off with only 75,000 casualties. If there is another 20 km convoy stranded on Ukrainian soil again this winter, Russia is gonna get the Highway of Death treatment.

Finnish soldier gets separated from the rest of his unit but he’s the only one carrying the emergency amphetamines for the unit, takes too many and goes on a one man rampage for like 2 weeks straight giving the opposing Soviet soldiers nightmares for decades. Oh and he did it all on skis. During his methed up 2-3 week rampage he got injured by a land mine, travelled 400km on skis, and only ate pine buds and a Siberian Jay that he caught which he ate raw. When he made it back to Finnish lines he was taken to a hospital where it was found his heart rate was nearly 200 beats per minute and his weight had dropped to 43kg (94.7lbs)

It's quite plausible. Remember when Biden took office and essentially told everyone that he hadn't forgotten about what Putin did to the US (election interference and installing a puppet into the WH)? He said he would deal with Putin. And he's currently dealing with him. If anything Putin underestimated Biden's will in regards to him. Putin thought for sure that Biden would back down and let him get away with the invasion because surely he wouldn't put the economy of the US in jeopardy. Not realizing that Biden was willing to be a 1 term president and risk letting the economy go to hell to get him. And of course I'm sure Biden felt confident in his plan to get gas prices and everything else under control. But it was most definitely a gamble. And he was willing to take that gamble to take Putin up out the paint.
