I am trying to figure out what angle the Republicans in congress are holding out for. It's likely that we'll see several of them swept up in some area of the investigation but the others, they are waiting on something that the administration is banking on to get Trump through this. The writing is on the wall, so at some point they're going to have to throw in the towel.

I'm guessing it is the release of the heavily redacted FISA application since Hannity is pushing the idea that it proves corruption on the part of the FBI and lays blame at Obama's feet. I would assume once that blows up in their face the Rs won't have any cards left to play.

the republican base is with trump 100% so there is no political liability in sitting back and watching how things progress...if some truly incriminating, incontrovertible evidence emerges they can quickly pivot to supporting impeachment. they will appear "responsible" for not having "jumped the gun" and letting "the process work itself out." also most of these junior members look to leadership to set the tone for how they and they see the entire House/Senate leadership holding ranks. there are probably many who simply assume that the Dems will take over in November and hope it's a Dem led congress that really starts to move on trump. then there will be zero pressure - they could even vote against impeachment if their base demands.

the moore senate race really clarified just how debased the party has become. the party legit was willing to accept a child predator as a senator so long as it was another vote for tax cuts etc.

Starting this weekend Congress is in recess for 2 weeks, does Trump try to sneak Pruitt in during this time by firing Sessions? He's already setting the stage to fire Mueller on "conflict of interest" so Pruitt first order of business is getting Double R to give Mueller his pink slip. I suspect we're going to see Mueller pull a savage move this week.

Yeah but it’s almost like this is too big to ever really find all the participants. Many will slip thru the cracks. Just think about how wide of a conspiracy something like this must be.

All the bankers, accountants, lawyers, tech specialists, lobbyists, non profit heads, politicians worldwide, financiers, media heads/reps, public relations folks, professors etc.
