Famous men of all races have always been marrying women who bring nothing else to the table than their looks. Just look at the late great Kobe Bryant. He started dating his wife Vanessa when she was a 17 year old high school student. Married her when she was 19. Kobe didn't need her money. What Kobe wanted (which is what most men instinctively want) was a beautiful young chaste woman. And he got that in his wife. No time in their marriage did we ever hear of Vanessa with another man (despite Kobe's rampant cheating). Even now in death she's still loyal to him. We never saw Vanessa not reciprocate love to her man.

These are the virtues men look for in women. Youth. Beauty. Loyalty. Chastity. Men don't want to be embarrassed by their woman. A wife like Vanessa will never embarras you as a rich successful man. However, taking a wife like Ciara (despite her money) will embarras you. It's simple biology and no amount of modern feminist bs is gonna change that.

My problem is, they are not consistent in their ideals. It's a trope from life, especially when it comes to looking at people with more than you. They can make more money, but you have more time off, and they look at you and think "If I had that amount of free time, I'd be doing......." And visa versa.. So I get that people do that. It's a natural part of life.

I'm saying, people are lying about their ideals. If it was about their ideals on marriage and single parents, they would have something to say about other black couples. But unless it's the extreme, where a dude wife's a stripper or known industry thot, or someone has a huge divorce settlement, these same guys do not care one bit about other celeb couples. They don't care what any of these wives do for a living. They don't bother to look up where the kids came from. They don't give two shyts how many kids the men are bringing in. They don't care if these people were married previously or the kids came from a one nighter. They don't look it up and when it's presented, they don't care. When there's pics of black men and their women, nobody asks "I wonder if she has any kids from before and who with so I can decide if he should be dating her"

People generally aren't but that is because things make them change here and there. However, ideals exist and people try to stick to them. That said, I don't think people are lying and the only reason why people don't look at a couple and wonder about the woman's past is because they assume the man in that relationship did similar vetting as they would done if they were dating the woman themselves. Many don't go that deep because it is celebrities and people don't always care that much but if something is off, it will catch their attention. If it turns out he did not, they do comment on it. We see it on here, and we see it elsewhere as well. What we are seeing now is a lot of that. Something if off (marrying a single mother while single and childless while rich and all that) and so we are seeing attention brought to it. It doesn't help that people tried to make this seem as if how it should be. Ideals at that point were under attack.

They don't care about THOSE ideals whatsoever. So while I agree with everything you're saying, I don't agree on what their ideals are...

I believe these guys are so angry because they are bitter. They are more like Russell Wilson. And they've been feeling a way towards the women who didn't want them in their lives. They don't care that Future is closer to them than Future is to Big Meech. He's not a thug. But he portrays one so that's close enough for them to get flashbacks. Then she's a single mom. She's not supposed to land on her feet after having a baby with that thug. She supposed to see a Russ type and cry from her regrets. She's definitely not supposed to get the wedding, the kids, the SB champ and a guy expressing his love for her every chance he gets...

I think they do care. Consider: What is more likely? These guys have an ideal of wanting woman without a child and think that if you're rich and all that, you'd want the same thing (a fairly universal ideal) and if you don't that's weird, or an ideal born out of rather specific scenario and set of events that also requires them to be lying about not having a universal set of ideals or requires them to have a specific additional set of ideals on top of the universal set of ideals set down? It seems the former is more likely. There may be some people who fit the latter but it seems too specific and too limited to be that widespread among that many people. One can't claim the people mad are only of the latter. It doesn't add up. I just can't see it. We'll probably have to agree to disagree ultimately.

And oh yes, if they get a divorce, the board and internet will break lol.

I remember Chuck even saying "they didn't make them like that when I was coming up". And despite all of Kobe's cheating she stayed loyal to him. Nobody ever clowned Kobe for being with a woman who didn't really want him or was her second choice.
