Clyde Drexler fell off at around this same time. So did Vince Carter, Dwyane Wade, Shawn Kemp. Julius Erving maybe one year older.

Iggy when he was even younger than that. Hell, Blake Griffin is falling off right now.

You can really tell which players had games that actually are predicated on athleticism. :sas2:

I don't think it's just athleticism. Around this age you done made all this money, your kids are growing, you just don't feel like giving it 100%..

I'm sure it's not "just" athleticism in every situation, but you can tell what kind of players have the longevity and which ones don't.

Clyde in The second championship for Houston was playing like his career was on the line. Some of the most inspired basketball I ever witness.

you can’t tell me he didn’t want it more than anybody else

Yeah, I have no doubt Clyde played his ass off for Houston. He just wasn't the player he had been in Portland anymore.

Did you watch the game tonight or wall all season. He was pure point guard in Washington . He ain’t one in Houston. Like I said if I wanted to see ISO’s I’d rather kept harden and let him have at ti. Wall and Dipo ISO’s can’t even be called the the price rite ISO’s in comparison to harden. Everybody think that iso-life is easy cuz they can ball, few are efficient with it like harden was. Wall and Dipo had me hating basketball last night

I have watched but the thing is Wall has been better this season. I hate the ISO shid too because he's a pure PG and has shown he can get 10 assists in his sleep. I give him more slack since its been a 2 year layoff.

But he just looks more lively, more forceful, and takes care of the ball much better.

Yes, Russ has been the better player but he is TERRIBLE right now.

Yeah I get your point. The thing with Russ that bugs me is the unforced turnovers.

His handles are the biggest issues. Dude be fumbling and losing control of the ball a lot. It’s understated. He did some good things tonight. He plays for a bad team with no supporting cast. Put him in a good situation and he can a contributor. Beal is a scorer but he don’t elevate his teammates like harden Lebron and Durant.

Facts I kind of wondered why that wasn't brought up more tbh.

Yeah he‘lol put the move on his defense and get pass him to the paint and then just lose the ball. Or last night when he got a key offensive rebound and was going back to the perimter and lost the ball on a poke by Sterling Brown.

Something is wrong with breh physically. After that MVP year, his shooting (already not great) went to shyt immediately. That alone wasnt what made me think something is wrong but even his free throws fell dramatically. Pure speculation but I think something is plaguing him physically thats not typical and he just Russes his way through.

Yea his pull up foul line jumper used to be automatic

I’m not sure how he just forgot how to shoot outright

I agree lift too, its been the case.
I think he just doesnt fit good on the Wizards

all the shyt he got used to with Durant, then having Adams be his road dog, PG coming to try to help... Rockets were already set up pretty well and he could defer to Harden... He's too used to playing a certain way and he forces up wild shyt in Washington. Like if he thought "let me leave OKC for a better opportunity" then he ends up on that wizards roster :russ: that shyt is way worse. He's not established enough to take the team over, but he doesnt have chemistry to set them up either.... so he's stuck in the middle playing death ball :russ:

This is so true. Last year in the bubble specifically against the Lakers he was getting to the rim, baseline and in the paint but he was losing it 60-75 percent of the times. He was outta control, going too fast and pressing too hard. He could stand to improve his shot and handles.

He had a hand injury a couple seasons ago on his right hand that would cause it to go numb when hit. I think it still flares up and hampers him. His hand was taped to begin the season in Houston. Once the tape was removed he looked like himself. Im not sure if it's a combination of maybe that along with the quad injury affecting him. He would never publicly admit it. Too proud and old school.
