Barry is basically a mouthpiece for the Heat and it has been that way for years. The narrative that he’s pushing doesn’t make much sense. We’re supposed to believe that the Heat or any other team couldn’t beat that trash package that they got from Phoenix?

ITS PRETTY CLEAR WHAT HAPPENED...

WIZ WANTED HERRO,
HEAT SAID NO BECAUSE THEY
FIGURED THE SUNS HAD NO TRADE
CAPITAL ANYWAY.

WIZ SAID OK AND
DID SOME PETTY shyt
JUST TO SPITE MIAMI.

Beal’s agent reached out to the suns to let them know he was interested. This was always the play. If he wanted Miami over the suns he would have been here.

We won’t know for sure until Beal speaks

HE WAS INTERESTED IN
MULTIPLE PLACES.

"The Washington Wizards and the representation for Bradley Beal have a general understanding of several of the teams that Beal would be willing to accept in a trade, and the Heat, as expected, is among those teams, according to a source with direct knowledge."

He had a preference tho. I’m not taking away blame from Pat. It’s obvious that he couldnt seal the deal when he had Beal on the phone. I just think Beal and his agent already had the Phoenix move set to go and there wasnt much negotiating Miami could do from that point.

Miami’s owner doesn’t even want to go over the 2nd apron. There’s some misleading reporting going on from the local media.

Beal is a better Tyler Herro. Beal wouldn't have moved the needle. And he has the same salary as Jimmy

I don't understand why everyone wanted him in Miami. Dame moves the needle. A real center alongside Bam moves it

Beal won't win Phoenix a championship. Next season you'll see what I mean

I agree. I didn’t want Beal, but I don’t think
the Heat org views Beal that way.

I could see Beal being more efficient in Phoenix because he’s not the center of attention. But right now, I think they lack the depth and defenders to win.

Stop.

Tyler hasn't even sniffed 45% shooting in his career. He looks good compared to our roster because no one creates like he does outside of Jimmy consistently.

Herro is a slightly better version of Jordan Poole, and you wouldn't be caught dead saying Poole is anywhere near Beal as a player.

It’s not about Herro. Beal had a no-trade clause, and he clearly chose Phoenix.

Nah.

According to the insiders Beal told the Wizards either the Heat or Suns are cool with him. So the Wizards looked at the best deal between those 2 teams.

The deal they got from the Suns allows them to get out of Beal’s and not take many bad contracts at the same time. I’m betting they didn’t want to take both Lowery’s AND Duncan Robinson’s contract with all those years remaining on the latter.

Also the Heat only offered those assets BECAUSE they didn’t just want Beal. They wanted Beal AND then go after another big name so they had to do damn near the impossible by shedding those Lowery and Robinson contracts while keeping enough picks to make that next huge deal (possibly Dame or other)

We swung and missed . It happens :manny:
