We can still be competitive in the trade market while maintaining those core players.

• Lowery can go and i hope he does
• Duncan Robinson can go and i hope he does
• Herro for the right price can go
• Gabe Vincent might be a keeper but his asking price as a free agent may be out of our reach even tho we have bis bird rights. We seen Riley overpay role players in order to show loyalty before and it always comes back to haunt us

I dont believe Bam will be a super star or a star in this league but he's still a pretty good core player on this team. Not all your core players need to be big time scorers. Good rebounder, good defender, good finisher at the rim. What else do you need from a big?

Eh. With this trade I don’t see how we don’t just become Portland east.

The Heats calling card has always been defense.
Even when we had the Big 3. This past 4 yr run of making it to the ECF 3 times and finals twice has been defense first. A huge part in this formula has been Bam and being that we’re so close, I don’t see the front office and Spo making such a radical change.

I can’t agree that Grant cancels out Bam in this trade. Bam is 5 yrs younger than Grant and the value he brings on the defensive end just can be replicated by many guys. He’s the primary reason why our zone is so effective. He can switch 1-5. We use him to slow down Giannis. In this series Bam held Jokic to under 50% while he shot around 70% when guarded by anyone else. That man can guard both Tatum and Brown on the perimeter and give Halliburton nightmares the next game.

That man can’t be relied on offensively but I think he is a vital part of a championship team in my opinion as long as you put capable and competent scorers around him (unlike that fraud Tyler Herro). If we’re gonna trade Bam then I want more back for him. Literally all we needed in 2020 and 2022 and 2023 was a third star scorer to this current team and I think we have at least 1 championship. I think just Dame or Mitchell or Beal + these group of guys would have been enough.

Now if you said Bam Herro 3 1st round picks for Embiid

Eh. Still not convinced enough to give up Bam. But if this trade went through I think Portland should be sending those draft picks our way in this scenario.

I agree we have been great defensively before Bam and will be great after Bam. But I think if you have a core of Jimmy and Bam that’s gotten you this far, you should try to keep it and add to it rather than breaking them up.

Clippers should be open to trade Kawhi and Paul George by note since that experiment failed miserably. Get some picks while they can for them to make up for all the picks they gave up to get both
