I'm still shocked at how many dudes took shyt personal when we said this shyt was a mess and dumpster fire. That somehow being critical of these garbage flicks means you're a Disney stan cause you thought Infinity War is good.
You can be a fan of both DC and Marvel. All of us on here love Batman, Superman Green Lantern, etc and wanted a dope interconnected universe.
This shyt ain't even mediocre like Fox X-Men shyt was.
This is total trash. 1 good movie (WW) and 1 really good flawed flick (MOS).

Actually Cavill was a very good Superman although he was a dry Clark Kent (Nobody could get both characters right like Christopher Reeve). But The Man of Steel was a flawed but solid start to the new DC Universe and the messed it all up.

?Heres how I think it should have gone.MOS-Shows supermans troubled childhood and being forced to run from his powers,and struggling whether to use them for good or evil. Zod forces him to reluctantly reveal himself. They fukk the city up the same as they did in MOS.
MOS 2-Superman moves to Metropolis,meets Lois and they form a platonic friendship. Lex campaigns against Superman based on the destruction him and Zod did and Metropolis agrees. Bruce Wayne is a Lex supporter and they work together to create something that could hurt Superman. Aquaman shows up with beef because of the damage Zods world engine did to the Ocean. A righteous but arrogant/royal Aquaman,not drunken a$$hole Aquaman
. Aquaman and his sea creatures gives Superman the beats through most of the film. Bruce and Lex disagree on whether or not to use the weapon to destroy them both,Batman says its too dangerous and needs work. Bruce is out gooned by Lex without any gadgets,ends up needing assistance from one of Lex workers. Lex's employee helps Bruce,and prevents Lex from using the weapon but is turned into The Flash. Superman eventually wins out against Aquaman once he snaps,nearly kills Aqauaman as the sea creatures mourn and take him back to the ocean. The city is destroyed once again,but the people see Superman as a savior this time. Bruce still thinks Superman has to be stopped.BVS-A new beautiful female gets close to Clark,brings out some competetion in Lois and she tells him be careful as she looks out of his league. Flash is now on that bullshyt robbing banks and Superman can't stop him or catch him. Braniacs conscience finds Lex through Zods ship and tells him where to go to find the thing that will kill Superman. Bruce gears up to face Superman,attacks him as Clark first to let him know he knows his identity. Takes a L,but Superman refuses to really hurt him. The beautiful female gets closer to Clark romantically,he refuses sex. She insist and manhandles her way into sex and takes his virginity as we discover she is Wonder Woman. The sex was a test of strength and stamina,he fails the stamina test
. She tells him about a prophecy of the world being destroyed,and tells him he will be needed,she can't stop it alone. But first she says they need to go find and kill Lex,which he is not okay with. Superman just wants to lay low after what he almost did to Aquaman as he is scared of what he could potentially do if he ever snapped. She calls him weak and goes to handle it himself. Batman sends messages to Superman with attacks on his mother and father and Lois. Goes to confront Batman in a epic battle,spares Batmans life and tells him he's here to stay.Ends with Lex discovering Doomsday deep in the ocean following the instructions of Braniac. Braniacs gives instructions on how to control the creature with a signal,but the instructions actually wake up and anger Doomsday. Doomsday destroys Lex's crew and submarines and walks on the bottom of the ocean.Justice League-opens up with Doomsday coming accross Aquamans home,they do their best to protect Aquaman who is still in a coma. Doomsday destroys the underwater city and its creatures and attempts to get to Aquaman,but he is inside an enclosed container that protects him. Doomsday comes on land and causes some destruction,Wonder Woman who was tracking Lex is first on the scene to try to stop Doomsday,he beats the shyt out of her. Doomsday is being drawn to Metropolis by the signal Braniac had Lex create. Aquaman wakes up to his city being destroyed and goes to get whoever is responsible.Once he gets near Metropolis Flash is forced to become a good guy to stop Doomsday from reaching the city,he is able to distract him until Aquaman shows back up for revenge. Doomsday handles him as well eventually. Clark is back home in Kansas dealing with a sick parent and doesn't know this is happening. Batman is last on the scene but shows up armed to the teeth,with plenty of gadgets,and has done plenty of prep. He gives Doomsday the most trouble out of everyone. Clark finally starts to hear about it and turns on the t.v. His sick father watches with him,Superman says "Batman can handle it
",he doesn't want to leave his pops. His father convinces him to leave and reminds him of Lois being in danger too. Superman shows up just in time to save Batman who is on the losing end. Superman and the rest of the battered league fight Doomsday,eventually its one on one again with Superman and Doomsday with Superman winning but dying. His father dies as well. Dianna says Doomsday wasn't who was told to her in the prophecy,she blames herself because she didn't tell him he would likely die even though she knew,but he was the only hope. Bruce at the end of the movie shown digging up Clarks grave.Justice League 2-Stupid yet likeable Superman clone Bizzaro who is created by Braniac begins to attack various places stealing weaponry and tech. Braniac finally reveals himself and his plan,revealing Doomsday was just a crash dummy used to weaken Superman and get his blood,so he could create a Superman under his control and for breeding. but it worked out better than he hoped with Superman dying too. Batman was afraid this would happen and thought he took precautions in cleanup.Justice League confront Bizzaro and are beaten.Bizzaro watches as Braniac begins to destroy the world,and has guilt. Fights Braniac who eventually gets the best of him .as he knows his weaknesses and limitations because he knows Superman so well. Braniac kills Bizzaro realizing he is a failed experiment and not as good as Superman at all. Justice League fights off Braniac who manages to escape and promises to return. In the end Braniac talks to Darkseid and tells him the Justice League is too much and he needs some reinforcements.
MOS 3-Braniac returns with more goons,greater technology destroying the world. He is too much for the Justice League this time. Superman wakes up in a space ship,next to the corpse of Doomsday. Bruce shot the bodies off into space so that experiments or cloning couldn't be done by humans to recreate either. Clark is able to escape containment as the ship is going into the sun(Batman didn't know the sun gave him strength,neither does Superman),Bruce was trying to destroy the bodies. Super powered,beard gang Superman returns stronger than ever,returns to earth and is drawn back to his home in Kansas,where his mother reveals his father is dead. Clark doesn't have an emotional response and seems tramatized and hardened,so his mother calls Lois letting her know Clark is back,but is thinking he is acting strange and may be another clone. Lois doesn't care if he's a clone and tells him to go help Justice League,he refuses. Eventually regains his conscience and full memory and has breakdown. Goes to help Justice League and it is revealed to him Braniac was the one who unleashed Doomsday,Clark blames Braniac for him not being there for his fathers death/funeral. Braniac tells him he should be more upset that he killed Supermans real daddy and mama and his whole planet
.Superman goes ballistic and destroys Braniacs entire army,goons and Braniac himself.Justice League 3-They face off against Darkseid who brings his henchman along with Supergirl who was given to him by Braniac at birth. Wonder Woman and Supergirl have an epic girlfight,she fights Justice League. Superman and Batman fight off Darkseid and his army. Superman finds out Supergirl is a Kryptonian and he reaches out to her and tells her what Braniac did. She joins the side of the Justice League and Justice League+Supergirl are able to kill Darkseid.
Superman could have easily put the league together by himself,just based off the fact everyone else respected him the most as a person,all of his power aside
. Batman absolutely should NOT have been the one to put it together,he should almost be the last one who should put it together imo. I don't know how it went in the comics,but it seems out of character to go around asking for help from strangers doesn't it?

Before SS dropped, the hype was tremendous. Word of mouth definitely played a part in it.....leading up to it. Margot Robbie, Jared Leto's Joker had so much anticipation. You had Will Smith and Viola Davis in it.
That is the thing about the early DC movies. They did numbers.
After seeing it, despite the love for Robbie's portrayal, most people thought it was trash.
And it was.
There is a reason nobody is hyped for SS 2. If anything, people want MOS 2 and the stans want the JL Snyder cut.

That is the difference between DC films and MCU.
MCU understands it's characters. They don't try to make Captain America act like Iron Man in the movies. Look at the platform MCU gives Captain America and his movies and what they recently gave Black Panther. Iconic/important characters that you just can't give them lighter material like you would for Ragnarok, GOTG, or Ant-Man. They understand the characters and what they mean to people.
DC is the classic case of studio execs making decisions who have no clue about the genre or how things work. You need both skill sets. K-Fiege understands the movie business and he understands the genre. Studio heads just see what makes money. All they know is numbers. They see Marvel doing a billion on a movie, "let's do what Marvel's doing. In fact, we have Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. They don't. We might do two billion instead of one.
Let's bring in Whedon over here too, he did Ultron. He'll make JL funny just like Avengers,since people complain we're too serious. We are guaranteed to do at least a billion now".If DC films just focused on what makes DC great and did them (like TV and Animation), they would be aight.
