You can still take those liberties with the Trinity though. Even Batman '89 didn't ave his origin. Repeat viewings isn't coming from children. And Begins was less than 10 years before Justice League. Dark Knight Rises was 2012, JL as '17. You mean to tell me that n 5 short years, no one can remember anything? Whether or not kids care about these characters is irrelevant, their recognition is enough to garner interest. And in this hive mind era, that's all you need.

They gave you a Superman origin, and that still couldn't get him a sequel, so your point is null and void. Wonder Woman was so successful because it was 70 years in the making. There were 3-4 generations of women waiting for the movie. The movie was trash because it felt like a hack job, with no direction of the plot. Every movie doesn't need to have a "this is how..." A good movie can drop you right into it, and go from there, especially with 80 year old characters whose origins can be told with exposition.

Dc does not need to speed into a team up movie. Yea rises was 5 years ago. That was the third movie, in a single Batman trilogy. And the first one started with an origin. Even 89 showed glimpses and told the story of the past. The shyt started out with his parents dying.

Mos did get a sequel. The dummies at dc fukked that up by cramming Batman in there. The three greatest Batman movies that sold the most and people love the most, started with an origin, then brought you through more single movies. All they had to do was build off that. Nope let’s restart and within 1 movie, have a team up and in 3, introduce the entire JL.

Nobody is emotionally invested in that. There’s no years of character building. You don’t care if some hero that popped up 15 mins ago gets killed. You don’t care if he almost dies. You don’t even know what he’s fighting for.

There seems to be a way to do this. They should have kept Nolan’s story as cannon and merged it with mos 3 and brought Wonder Woman in and....... we should just now be hyped for aqua man, thinking about the JL movie in 2020. Meanwhile 6 more movies come out.

Not 3 movies and another team up. We got a whole new Superman to intro and probably a complete reboot coming. Recasts. Whole new stories to write. I pray they don’t rush this shyt

If Cavill is indeed out they won't be rebooting Superman and definitely not rebooting the DC movie universe. They will just recast the role and keep it moving in the same continuity we have now.
It will be the same Superman who saved Earth from Zod, fought Batman and then teamed up with him and wonder woman to fight Doomsday and who joined the justice League only with a different actor in the role.

They could even use explain his facial changes as a result from the Motherbox, or just ignore it and KIM....
