Sony got better first party blah blah blah, more subscribers blah blah blah...don't give a fukk about that, it is what it is. Most of us have both systems anyway :mjlol:
More than likely Stockholm/R.Kelly syndrome. "Abuse me, senpai. Charge me this grip for remasters and cinematics.":francis:

Stockholm syndrome is being loyal to a platform that abandoned their user base last gen
As a consumer why would a show a corporation any loyalty? I buy what appeals to me but the moment it doesn't I'm gone. My loyalty is to myself and my own personal taste not some company.

Some of you cats are red state republicans arguing against stuff that benefits you as a consumer. Why wouldn't I want Sony to make a copy of Game Pass 1 for 1 exactly? Because they don't see it as profitable? I don't care let them figure out how to make it profitable.

The same way I don't sit back and wonder how Spotify will stay in business and what they're paying the artist, The same way I don't wonder why Netflix doesn't put it's movies out in theaters first on a release window then stream them later is the same way I look at these gaming subscription services. I've been subscribed to Netflix for over 10 years. They make stuff I like and I keep the sub. I don't cancel and resub either.

When a new album comes out I don't have to wonder if I can stream it on Spotify or not be able to stream it shyt's there day one and all the legacy content is there and what isn't I don't really listen to. I couldn't imagine Spotify telling me I gotta wait X days to stream the new Nas album after release. Who wants a service like that as a consumer? Who defends that? I'm interested in paying the fee for a frictionless service. That's what Game Pass is. If Microsoft made it it's either there already or will be there day 1.

The Sony and Nintendo approach to this is half baked. Either go all in or stay out of it. No half measures..

I got loyalty to the platform making games i like, i really don’t give a shyt about these services or whatever else yall go crazy over. If sony stops making compelling games that i like i stop buying them, its really as simple as that. I buy consoles to play games that IIIIII like, which is why i got a nintendo, steam, and a playstation.

If the gamepass format doesn’t work for sony, (they don’t have unlimited money like microsoft) then it doesn’t work. Thats a false pretense to use, and no one uses it against nintendo for obvious reasons.

If sony putting games day 1 on gamepass means they need to cutback on budgets or add a ton of MTX to their games i simply don’t want it. If in some alternate reality where sony doesn’t care to lose any money or becomes a two trillion dollar company that can give away their games cool, I’m not against it but its not realistic.

The day it does become a thing for sony the games will change with it which means I’m prob cool on gaming from that point on

I’ll never understand why yall think nintendo and sony who are making actual profits selling their games should copy the platform losing money

As someone who is using gamepass on 2 months free trial, this shyt is that good and I haven't had an Xbox since 360. Everyone is on that subscription wave because they see the big bucks boming but PS Now will need to get a whole lot better to compete.

What you're calling the Game Pass format is actually just a subscription service. If Amazon makes a movie it's on Prime day 1. If Netflix makes a film it's on that service day 1. If an album is released it's on Spotify day 1. If A audiobook comes out it's on Audible day 1. If Microsoft makes a game it's on Game Pass day 1. The point of a subscription service is to earn and keep your subscription. That's done by putting out new content for it. Even Disney who shows major reluctance to put all their movies on their subscription service day 1 makes content just for that service. HBO Max does as well.

Really what even is a subscription service where all the content is old legacy content and nothing new is made specifically for it? Why would I sub to and keep an active subscription to such a service?

How do you think Netflix grew from nothing to a juggernaut? Investors and corporate debt. They didn't have unlimited funds. They made it work. Plenty of businesses are scaled using those tools. There are options. Make the new games pare of a premium tier that cost $30 a month or use the Disney+ premiere access model and make the new titles available at an extra charge.

I don’t care, i want to play god of war and wolverine

Until i can play those games on gamepass it doesn’t matter. Same thing applies to Zelda and Metroid, until i can play those games on gamepass then gamepass isn’t relevant to me

When I see a service that lets me play new games day one at no extra charge past my subscription fee it doesn't become delightful to pay $70 a pop to play individual games. Maybe you like spending that kinda money on individual games but I don't.

I like playing games that i want, regardless of whether or not they are part of a subscription service. just like I’m going to see spiderman later this month

As much as I like netflix, they don’t have spider-man so I’m gonna go pay to see it like i always have. Same with games.

If you only want to limit the games you play to aa subscription, cool. Video games are like the least expensive thing i spend money on per month, and i think I’ve spent 70 dollars on 3 games since console launch. I’m not even sure the next time i will ever spend 70 dollars on game

:sas2:they not gonna acknowledge this
Nothing to acknowledge :unimpressed:. Cats act like they sacrificed the soul of their first born to Sony. I go where the compelling experiences are, fukk a brand. Keep the revisionist nonsense over there.
