You would think the Lakers have won less than 5 games with all this trade nonsense.

Exactly Lakers are doing just fine. And Rich Paul has no power to entertain trade talks. This rumor is so ridiculous not counting the players mentioned on LA's side. :mjlol:

Wall literally has the worst contract in the NBA. It’s so bad that Wall has a 15% trade kicker that means if he’s traded this year it’ll surpass the max and it may not even go through lol.

“Some in the league believe the Knicks are stocking up their young assets and will make a major play for Wall if he becomes available. The Wizards (9-14) were said to be ready to break it up after their disastrous start. It would have to be a three-team deal with the Knicks throwing in Ntilikina, Dotson, Courtney Lee (for cap purposes), a 2020 first-round and second-round pick.“

That NY post trade is more like it ^

Wall and possibly Beal will be sitting there in August if the Lakers strike out this summer. Only then will I think it’s a possibility.

Despite the salary cap being projected to increase from $101.8 million to $109 million in 2019 and then $118 million in 2020, teams do not have an appetite for tying up 35 percent of their money in a point guard who has carried a heavy workload (35.9 MPG since 2010-11) without signs of future franchise-player-level production.

So even with the uncertainty surrounding Wall's trade bonus, his current $19.2 million salary is more movable than when it spikes to $38.2 million in July. Not only will teams balk at trading Wall into their cap space, but the capped out teams will also be stuck. Around 49 percent of NBA players are projected to be free agents this summer. Cobbling together $30.5 million in contracts to facilitate a Wall trade is next to impossible.

If there is an outside chance for Washington to move Wall, it is before the Feb. 7 trade deadline to a team that views Wall as an All-Star and has a void at point guard. The Phoenix Suns might be the only team that fits. (Keep in mind the Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves are prohibited from trading for Wall this season while they have players -- Kyrie Irving, Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins -- on similar designated rookie extensions.)

Lakers created the cap room for TWO stars, not trade guys they wouldn’t trade for PG or Kawhi for one. It’s gonna be a team like the Knicks or Suns in a bullshyt deal.

This rumor sounds like bs, but I really can't see Lonzo being on the Lakers long term. This nikka name stay in trade rumors and usually where there's smoke, there's fire.

Lakers don't need a star guard the only thing the point guard needs to do on this team is make open 3s jumpshots and play defense. They do need a dynamic big though.
