I'm not throwing acid on the character, I like the character, I'm throwing acid on the era and the creation of the character. Marvel had no idea what to do and felt like "hey, spider man is boring now that he's married, let's retcon everything to make it that this guy is the real spider man the the guy people have been reading about since the 70s is a clone." That is the shyt I'm throwing acid on and have an issue with. Then of course when people revolted, they went back and changed it. Homie, I love Ben, I dressed as him for halloween one year as a kid, but its unfortunate for me that he just reminds me of a company having no damn idea what to do with their most popular character.
