No they won’t. The jazz have never been that sort of team historically (C-Booz, D-Will, etc). They always figure they can rebuild in the draft.Utah will fold. Good for him to play hardball.

It’s not always about cap space. Nobody enjoys paying the luxury tax. Remember Cap Space isn’t just for outright signings.YOU GOT TO PAY TO PLAY.
ITS THE fukkING JAZZ.
NO NOTABLE FREE AGENT
WILL NEVER SIGN THERE.
THEY COULDNT EVEN KEEP
A CAC LIKE HAYWARD.
CAP SPACE MEANS NOTHING
IF YOU CANT USE IT.
Y’all wasn’t saying this in March when Rudy got Covid and y’all thought he passed it onto Mitchell. Y’all were ready to throw him in the bushes.those bringing up the cap are missing the point. the jazz dont sign fa's so the cap is irrelevant, or theoretically, it should be. signing gobert to a super-max wont prevent them from getting anything of worthwhile value, they are a small market team who is going to have to build through the draft. if im not donovan mitchell, im pissed if they dont re-sign dude. obviously he isnt worth 40m a year based off his limiations, but from a contractual standpoint he did his part to earn the qualification. Him and his agent would be silly to accept anything else in utah.
after the covid incident, I suggested they should trade him, I never suggested they let him walk for NOTHING. There are plenty of desperate teams that could throw him a bag. Hornets, Spurs, Raptors, Bulls, Knicks, Thunder could all afford to. Not saying they will, but theyll have the cap space to consider it. Seems like a Knicks move imo. It’s not always about cap space. He’s a free agent next year. Who should just jump out the window and max him out?
You honestly and seriously claimed he was an international terrorist plotting to infect his teammates and spread the plague. Why are you even talking about cap space, shouldn't you be demanding his arrest?YOU GOT TO PAY TO PLAY.

They could throw him a crazy amount of money. They’ll all look dumb for doing so. That stops being Utah Jazz because they’ve already invested in developing plan B. They can use their money and draft picks on adding depth.after the covid incident, I suggested they should trade him, I never suggested they let him walk for NOTHING. All true. But the alternative shouldn't be paying a guy who always gets played off the floor in the playoffs 35% of your cap. Supermax need to be changed to people who make first team all nba or finish top 5 in mvp voting and that is it
Well, they got Boozer to fukk over the Cavs to sign there. No they won’t. The jazz have never been that sort of team historically (C-Booz, D-Will, etc). They always figure they can rebuild in the draft.
Utah's scoring defense rankings since Gobert got significant minutes
2014 - 1st
2015 - 2nd
2016 - 1st
2017 - 2nd
2018 - 4th
2019 - 9th
Yikes if that’s their planThey already drafted Azubuike this year and signed Derrick Favors. I’m pretty sure they have a contingency plan in place for when Gobert walks. They’ll be aight.
