What part of "mental health is unfair grounds for dismissal" do you not understand? You already acknowledged that you don't know what the fukk you're talking about, so just watch the video and keep it moving :camby:

When you work in a real corporate environment, making above middle class money and pull that mental health card consistently they will find a way to get you outta there.

You can do this in most European countries. It's just that the US has Draconian work laws
Europe also has free health care and college in a lot of countries. My outlook on life would be totally different if I was raised there but I wasn't..

Don’t matter if he fukked up HIS shyt. The shyt he talking about trumps everything he did to fukk his shyt up,he said clearly he talking about how the NBA deals with Mental illness and everything he said in that interview was right. Y’all keep missing the point
The NBA’s doing better with handling mental illness than they used to, but he’s delusional about how practical his plan was. You can deal with the issue of mental illness better and still find him to be very problematic.

Every player that has come out with their struggle with mental illness has had teams work with them on it, not because they’re good or anything, but because they’ve proven to be easy to work with. Royce talking with his chest now but anytime he’d be asked about these issues he’d well up and hide behind Twitter and his #BeWell stuff. It’s easier to negotiate stuff for a summer league that plays every weekend. The schedule of the NBA is a much different animal and an NBA team is gonna find it worrisome that he’s basically questionable every night. The Kevin Love’s and DeMar DeRozan’s don’t use mental illness as a crutch the way he does, and if the league had capitulated to everything HE wanted, it woulda made his whole movement eventually look like a failure since he wouldn’t even be a success story to his own vision.

For someone who calls himself competent, he’s found himself too many times looking like he can’t control himself.

I'm not missing the point. Dude said if his anxiety is acting up and his psychiatrist says he shouldn't play a game that night then he shouldn't have to play even tho his body is 100% good....I disagree with him on that.

If one of my employees say they can't come to work because of their anxiety and a client is relying on their expertise I'm going to fire that employee for someone that is reliable and that can perform.

You must have never worked on a job where people are in drug programs. I have. You can’t just fire someone in that situation. Did it feel fair to me? fukk no, I don’t do drugs. That’s on a low level. NBA could do better than this.

This is what I came in to say. No they can't just flat out fire you over the mental illness. But in reality they will definitely scheme and find some reason to fire your ass or marginalize you. At some point companies worry about their bottom line and have the mindset of why deal with the issues of working around someone's mental illness when they can get someone slightly less talented that they know will at least be there night after night.

My problem with Royce is in the real world you have to prove value first before someone is willing to work around you. He came in as a rookie basically saying this setup doesn't work for me. It takes stars to create change sadly enough.

Depending on what state youre in, hell no they wont. Not unless they want to get sued halfway to hell and get dragged in local news.

In my state and others, if you're clinically diagnosed with a mental ailment that can manifest itself physically ie. Chest pain, high blood pressure heart issues etc. as result of work, the employer can't do a fxcking thing. Unless they feel like forking over absurd amounts of money. Some states dont play around with that shyt at all... And thats exactly what Royce was talking about. The league is a bunch of attorneys, they know about workman's comp and OSHA laws and they dont want to open that "can of worms" to the league... Theyre afraid players will finesse the rule.

Not to u personally but I just dont get y some of y'all have taken this stance of "if X doesnt give a fxck about mental health, then Y shouldnt either”

And when they do, there are some who might come back and shoot the office up.
