“We life in Brooklyn Baby”

Crazy I don't recall my folks listening to Roy Ayers. Pops was more a Count Basie/Duke Ellington type, so I wasn't really exposed to Ayers until Brand Nubian and Smif N Wessun (check the avy), Mos Def later on. When I finally started exploring Ayers' music though it was like coming home.

Only reason I why I know who he is is because mos sampled him

Oh we back??:blessed:
This mans music is perfect when you’re having a bad day! I put on his music while heading home and life is so much better by the time I get there.

How he make songs where people are just repeating one line sound so good?:russ:

In the Silver Lining
Living Legend. Should do album with some half way quality rap and r&b acts and producers.

Miles Davis last album with Easy Mo Bee (Biggie's and many other NYC 90s rappers' producer) called Doo Bop. Miles passed in 1991, it was released in 1992. Doo-Bop - Wikipedia

Roy Ayer's legend is secured, but opportunity to make a tangible musical connection with high caliber younger artists or even other mature artists, would be dope.

He's actually been doing this. He's worked a lot over the years with Louie Vega(Soulful House Super Producer) and many others. Mainly in the more Undergound Soul, and Urban Dance scenes
