Where he was raised, but he grew up in New York til he was 16. This is why he said he couldn't afford to go the college route which he was destined and had his place but couldn't afford so he went out west to live with family and work to send money back home then that's where he took his music seriously so that is why he claims Oakland and Baltimore other than Harlem til he was 14 then the Bronx and Brooklyn between then and 16. He alluded to it in many interviews and in the song Old School on Me Against the World
